Never been in Yaroslavl within organized excursions. I think that in such cities it is better to ride on your own, paying the route in advance. I really like such trips to timed to the weekend. It turns out a day off day. Here and rest at the same time and the opportunity to see the beauty of the ancient Russian city, "plunge" in the history of Russia. Yaroslavl in recent years has been very transformed. The city has become more modern thanks to the new buildings in Site High Tech, but for us - tourists, is of particular interest, of course, of course, the historical part of the city.
A special impression was received from the visit of the Yaroslavl Museum-Reserve, located almost in the center of the city. The museum is not a single separate building, here is a whole complex. On the territory of the reserve, six temples can see their reduced copies presented here on the territory.
The museum itself also attracts an interesting exposition, and here is not alone, but several sightseeing programs. You can use the guide services, or just wander and independently view the exposition that I did.
There are a large number of temples in the city. They built them out of stone, since many wooden buildings were not preserved, a row of them burned down. It must be said that Yaroslavl masters have their own maneru of construction, their school. Before the building of the Yaroslavl government is the famous chapel of Alexander Nevsky. It was built in 1892 in honor of the salvation of King Alexander 3 when crashing a train in 1888. The chapel is built of red brick, and white decoration gives it a special solemnity.
Perhaps the most significant for Yaroslavl, but this is my judgment, is the Assumption Cathedral. It is believed that he is the first temple built of brick. They began to build it at the beginning of the 1200s, then it was rebuilt twice, because he was very damaged by fires twice. Then the new Soviet government made its negative contribution. In the building of the temple there was an exchange of labor. The same fate waited in Soviet times many religious structures. In other were warehouses, in a number of them housed public institutions and even residential apartments. Now the Assumption Cathedral is located at its historic place. This large-scale snow-white structure is crowned with gold dome. Finally, the temple was reconstructed in 2004.
I managed to get to the landscape design festival in Yaroslavl. It is at the same time a competition, but also a new look of the city.
