Despite the fact that I almost fell in love with Kazan, forced to admit that the city is not cheap. Well, this is understandable, the welfare of the republic is at a fairly high level, the incomes of residents are recognized according to the latest statistical data by the highest ones. From here and prices that are slightly higher than we would like. But, honestly, it seems to me that it is worth it.
So, I will consider on the basis of what we ourselves have decided.
Fare
We traveled to Kazan on our own car. We drove together. If you do not take into account the wear of the machine (since the path is not free - about 400 km), and we consider only the cost of fuel. We did something in the region of 2000 rubles.Further, as applies to the car, I will note that we probably have made a bunch of fines in the city (this can be attributed to unforeseen expenses). Possible disorders on the cameras were recorded and until we received the receipts. The only thing you have available at the present moment is a fine of 800 rubles, discharged by the traffic police officer in place. But this article costs at all optional. Just need to drive according to the rules, if you travel on your car. Or come to the city by public transport and this is used in the city itself. It will relieve you from excessive waste of money.

The car in the city center can be delivered in a paid parking. Prices depend on the time of parking. And the first hour is free. We enjoyed parking in the TRV "Ring", paid 50 rubles for 3 hours. Very convenient, all the places are enough, in the very center of the city, from where you can walk on foot.
Accommodation
The second important item is housing. You can choose accommodation in a hotel of various levels of service, or rent an apartment or room in the private sector, or stay free of friends or relatives (if any). Hotels, as a rule, are the most expensive views of the placement. Therefore, we have chosen rental apartments.
Here, of course, prices are also not fixed and depend on the type of housing, locations, states, number of rooms and other conditions. We, for example, made an option to rent a one-room apartment in a new building with repair, furniture and parking in front of the house. The cost of residence amounted to 1,500 rubles per day. By the way, on weekdays accommodation surrenders cheaper than on weekends and festive days. Especially prices grow during the New Year holidays, as the number of tourists in the city is increasing.
Food
If you are not going to spend money on food, then my advice is to buy food in the store, prepare yourself, or be content with snacks (such as pies, chocolates, etc.). It will be unambiguously cheaper.
We did not plan to cook anything, so we used the services of catering.
Lunch upon arrival in the cozy cafe on the central street Bauman, we cost 1700 rubles. Lunch was dense, so the dinner cost ice cream from McDonalds. If the purpose of your trip to Kazan is shopping, then the scope of the spending of money depends on you and, in general, it is not limited to anything other than the budget. If you are not going to spend a lot, you can simply purchase only souvenirs or national sweets.
