Building Tid Tower

This tower was erected in 1822, and today is one of the main attractions of the city. You can find the tower on the central square of Tirana. Artificial lake
The lake is located in the southern part of the city, in the Big Park. In general, this park is extremely loved by local residents, they go there for walks and rest, because there is very picturesque and romantic. By the way, this area is popular far beyond the city. Around the lake built a lot of cottages, residential apartment buildings, hotels, there are colleges and schools, restaurants, cafes, shops - shorter, life boils and boils. Building "Pyramid"
In general, this is the building of the former Museum of the Communist Dictator Enver Khoji, where today is the Mummy Club. The building was designed by the daughter of Khoji and built by 1988. The building in the form of a pyramid is made of glass and concrete and looks rather unusual and even a little futuristic. After a couple of years in the building was located the museum, then the place was redesigned to the conference center and place for party sessions. In 1999, during the war in Kosovo, the museum was used as the NATO base and other organizations. However, despite the importance of the structure, the local authorities still want to demolish it and build something more suitable and modern on this place. But local residents are very much against such a decision and all their hands and legs are trying to protect an important historical monument. Before the pyramid, you can see the bell of the world, cast from the sleeves and shells, symbolizing the new era of the world in the history of the country.

Bunkers
Several abandoned concrete bunkers can be found throughout Albania. The first of them was constructed in the 50s of the last century during the board of Enver Hodya. Before the death of Khoji (in 1985), about 700,000 bunkers were rebuilt - that is, one for every 4 inhabitants of Albania. Inside, it was planned to place artillery fighter positions. Thus, these bunkers were located on the streets of the country, on the mountain slopes and fields. However, after the death of the ruler, construction was safely suspended. The bunkers that remained, tried to apply at least somehow - they became stalls for livestock, warehouses, cafes. Some bunkers were partially used for their intended purpose during the Balkan conflict in the 1990s. Well, in the difficult times of the housing crisis of the 1990s, some locals simply have simply lived in these houses. Today, these bunkers have become one of the most important attractions of the country. You can even see souvenirs depicting these bunkers. Now it is planned to remake bunkers in cheap hotels - for example, in Tala, there is already one such a hotel. In general, a rather bold idea, but it has already started to be in demand. If the business is "trap", then the rest of the bunkers will be soon hotels.
Martyrs cemetery
This is the largest fraternal burial in the country. It is located on a hill overlooking Tiran and surroundings. In the grave there are more than 900 Albanian partisans and British Morpekhov, who took part in the liberation of Albania and died during the Great Patriotic War. Nearby is a concrete site with the statue of the "Mother Albania", 12 meters in height. "Mother" keeps the left wreath in his hands and the star, and as if he guards this fraternal grave. Mount Dajti
This mountain is located 26 kilometers east of Tirana. The 1613-meter vertex is an excellent sightseeing platform, because it opens a breathtaking view of the city, which is located at the foot. On the territory of Mount Dajti, the National Park spread out, which occupies the area of more than 3.5 hectares. The park grows 44 species of trees and shrubs - pines, oaks, beech, great sets of flowers and herbs. Well, the peak is almost "bald". Also on the slopes of the mountains there are different animals, for example, you can meet wild boar, Eurasian wolf, fox, hare, even brown bear. Birds are circling over the forests - eagles, hawks and other birds. By the way, in the winter, the top is even a little covered with snow. The territory of the park has long been dotted and prepared for visiting tourists. Tourists can rise to the top on the funicular or by car along a narrow road coated with asphalt. Also, here you can find a couple of lovely restaurants, where you can dine and at the same time admire the views of the city.
National Historical Museum
The museum was founded in 1981 and is located in the northern part of the main square of Scanderberg. This is one of the largest Albanian museums - the museum collection is more than 5 thousand exhibits! Many halls offer to immerse themselves in the history of various periods. Immediately you can admire 65 icons of the icon painters of the 18-19th centuries, and do not forget to look into the halls of the Albanian Renaissance, Albanian anti-fascist, independence, as well as the department of antiquities and the ethnographic pavilion, where you will see items found in the Tomb of the Schail Three Century BC .
