Yaroslavl - the cradle of Rus Orthodox

Anonim

Yaroslavl remained in my memory as an amazing Orthodox city. There was no more such number of all sorts of temples, churches, I did not meet anywhere else. It seems to me that if you go through the center, then every 15 minutes you will definitely meet some regular church. And all of them, large and small, very beautiful, well-groomed. Maybe it was so lucky me, but I did not see the city of old destroyed buildings, which is often in other cities.

In Yaroslavl, I was only on the weekend, a terribly small amount of time for which it is simply impossible to have time to see everything. But we managed to go with a tour of the Tolgsky monastery. Amazing place, I am not a very believer, but there is unwittingly you begin to feel some kind of spiritual connection with God. It was the first monastery, in which I have ever visited, perhaps that is why he had such a strong impression on me. Only here the road itself to the Tolga monastery is simply in a terrible state, perhaps I really hope that it has been fixed, because this year Tolgskaya Icon the Virgin marks 700 years.

But temples are not all that Yaroslavl boasts. I really liked one private Museum of Music and Time. Despite very little dimensions, there is something to see. A huge collection of bells of various sizes, vintage irons, paratyphones and mirrors. The feeling that the time lives here, indeed, occurs in this place.

Of course, we walked along the Volga Embankment. One of the most famous places of Yaroslavl is a small gazebo with a green roof, located there. The view from there is a stunning. Spirit and captures. True, very strong winds blow there, so we regretted that they were easily dressed. But, I think, on a hot summer day this place is what is needed.

We managed to see and all the well-known monument of Yaroslav Wise, who was captured on our thousandth bills. It is a pity that our excursion bus because of a circular movement could not slow down there so that we would have imprinted the famous appearance.

And I remember the inscription, which is so charged by positive and motivates on the struggle. She is in the photo below.
