Quiet and relaxing holiday in Gagra (Abkhazia).

Anonim

Rested with friends in Abkhazia in June before last. Decided to stay in Gagra. As soon as we went out of the bus on the city's bus station, a local taxi driver ran to us and offered housing. We agreed to see the proposed option. The house was five minutes walk from the bus station. It was a large two-storey cottage with several numbers. The rooms were clean, with new furniture and all amenities. The kitchen was common and located on the first floor. The price is also quite arranged, and we decided not to look for anything else, but settle in the proposed place. Moreover, the street on this day was a pouring rain.

Gaga turned out to be a calm green city. We were struck that there was no such fuss and noise, which usually happen on all seaside resorts. In the center of the city is located in the department "Continent", where we have made purchases throughout our holidays. I do not know how now, and during our stay in Abkhazia, the infrastructure of local cities was not particularly developed. There was no such a huge number of hotels, shops, cafes, restaurants and all kinds of entertainment, as everyone used to see in resort cities. And in this, of course, was his own charm. In this place, as in no other, felt unity with nature and incredible peace.

We dined in a city dining room, located 10 minutes walk from our house. Here you can always be very tasty and inexpensive to eat.

The main part of the sights of Gagra is in its "old" part. In the "old Gagra" we got on the usual minibus literally in 10 minutes. We walked along the huge central park of the city, visited the Callonade, were loved by the famous Castle of Prince Oldenburg Prince.

City beach in Gagra is very long. We preferred to relax in His calm part, where there were fewer holidaymakers. Water in the Black Sea was pure and warm enough to start the season. The beach was pebble, clean. Not far there were a few cafes where live music played in the evenings.

I liked the fact that neither the beach nor in the city had such a huge number of vacationers, as usual is observed on our Black Sea coast. I think that it was most likely due to the very beginning of the high season and not fully established the weather (a third of our holidays in Gagra went rain).

In my opinion, in Abkhazia there are the best resorts on the Black Sea coast. Although they are most likely not suitable for fans of parties, bars and restaurants. The resorts of Abkhazia will be an ideal place for a secluded and quiet family holiday.
