I would never have thought that I would find in Georgia. She never entered the list of countries that I wanted to visit. Yes, and nothing about it, in general, then I did not know. He threw me in Batumi due to a business trip. And for these 5 days I managed to fall in love with this hospitable country.
What is Batumi? This is a magnificent resort city on the Black Sea coast with huge ambitions. The capital of Adjara is located next to the Border of Turkey Georgia.
How to get?
Batumi usually fly 2 airlines: Georgian Airways and S7. In addition to air transport, you can get by train and ferry. But I immediately dropped these options.
My road was not easy, as the secretary booked tickets at the last moment and I flew with 2 long-term transfers with different airlines: Yekaterinburg-Moscow-Minsk-Batumi. The price of the ticket turned about 27,000 rubles, but this is because they bought at the last moment. In Minsk, I sat at least 8 hours. Fortunately I had full work, and I did not have time to get tired of waiting.
At Batumi Airport, I was met by colleagues, but also to the city you can take a taxi (about 200 rubles) or bus number 10.
Where to live?
All Batumi can be easily walking on foot, so the distance to the sea will be small in any case. The city has a rather extensive hotel base that will satisfy anyone. I lived at the Plaza President. It was all as in ordinary 5 * hotels, but very quietly and boring.
What to see?
I arrived at night, and immediately drew attention to many colorful lights. They are highlighted almost everything. I especially liked the palm trees with the middle of the road and the ferris wheel.
I managed not much in connection with excessive employment. For myself, I noted the purity, accuracy and comfort of all the streets and boulevards. Even in the very sadness, everything is well maintained and "combed."
Basically, I saw only masterpieces of modern architecture: the Tower of the DNA of the alphabet, the ferris wheel, the sculpture "Love", an inverted restaurant and some high building, which also mounted a mini ferris wheel. Colleagues went on the show of musical fountains, and remained very satisfied.
I also lived on the square of the copier where there was a magnificent church nearby. Everyone on this area was going to local youth and having fun.
Kitchen and food
Georgian cuisine is very specific and diverse. There there will be food even for such harm as Ya. I do not eat sharp, cheese, mushrooms, onions, garlic and seafood))) Personally, I appreciated the magnificent kebab and chinkia (which by the way he was blinded at one of the farewell evening contests). I have not tried anything like this yummy. Colleagues were delighted with everything they treated us, and believe me, the table was broken from food and wine.
Divine Wine
In my opinion, everyone knows that Georgian wine is one of the best in the world. The main thing is not to get involved in them, since this is a slow motion bomb. I tried it seems to all kinds, since local colleagues constantly forced me to drink for their directors))) Now I love only Georgian wine: Hwwankar and Kidmrauli. Multiple bottles took home. Regretted that I took little)))
Customs and traditions.
The most important feature feature of Georgians is a lot of service. There are several nuances:
• You can never ask the guest to shoot shoes, this disrespect.
• The guest is served only the best thing in the house
• Guest can stay with you as much as the owner wants all the expenses on his stay.
In addition, Georgians love holidays and big feast. They arrange them on any convenient occasion, let it even arrive a friend who did not see a week. Everything is accompanied by music and dancing. And dressed on these feasts into the manner.
Georgians are very quick-tempered, especially men worth being careful and take into account their excessive emotionality. Do not talk about political conflicts. They are very worried about this.
And so, everyone is always smiling, greeting in Russian.
General conclusion:
I would go once again, only on vacation and season when you can be sought on the beach and does not waste anywhere attending local attractions. Most of all I was delighted with openness, kindness and hospitability of the local population. I really felt myself a guest, and not alien.
