House Barley Hall.
This is a stunning medieval house, which was once the house of the mayor of York. Only when the building was going to demolish, suddenly everyone understood what an amazing value it represents! The building was currently restored to its original view and now it appears to guests in all its magnificence, with beautiful high ceilings, beautiful wooden window frames. Visitors to the house can feel at home here - at the chairs and touch the items - in general, to experience how rich people lived in medieval England. Also in this house there are exhibitions dedicated to the history of England, very interesting and children's day, and a little dramatic - about the plague, poverty, life and death, wars. Traditional costumes occupy a central place along with documents (but it may not be so interesting to children, however).

Research and Entertainment Center Dig
Here you can see the most interesting archaeological artifacts with a 2000-year history. That is, in fact, in this center you can take part in archaeological excavations. There are four zones where medieval and Victorian pieces are hidden, so you and your children can capture the blades and dig up these valuable things that tell you how people lived in these times. The center is very interesting. Even the staff walks in traditional costumes (though, only during the school holidays). Also at the center there is a scientific laboratory, a library and special halls, where children can participate in various types of activist and 3D cinema. Of course, it is best to take a guide to visit the Museum, but, again, for the presence of Russian-speaking guides ask in advance. Excursions are different, but it can be recommended to take one and a half hours. And here there are quite interesting cognitive events for children and adults. There are changing tables and toilets for disabled. This place is located in the center of York, about 200 meters from the central shopping area to Parliament Street. From Jorvik Viking Center you need to turn left to Coppergate Walk. Then move the road at the pedestrian crossing and turn right by Coppergate. Then go Marx and Spencer to the left of you and turn left to whipmawhopmagate, then across the road and left to St Saviourgate. Dig is on the right side.

York Cathedral (York MINSTER)
The York Cathedral is fully famous for the artistic and architectural masterpiece, built between the 1220s and 1470s. Work schedule: Daily from 7 am to 18:30 for worship. For sightseeing Cathedral: from Monday to Saturday: from 9 am to 5 pm; Sunday: from 12:30 to 5 pm. No excursions in Good Friday and Easter Sunday or Sundays until 12.30. In winter, the rise in the towers depends on weather conditions, so it can sometimes be prohibited.
Dungeon York (York Dungeon)
The horror horrors of the 2000-year history of York rushes around the eyes of this dungeon. In essence, this is something like a fear room. There are actors in old costumes, and special effects, and frightening sounds - truly unique and exciting event. It is fun and scary. Do not perceive it especially seriously, and do not come to the show with small and especially buggy kids.

Yorkshire Museum (Yorkshire Museum)
With collections of archeology halls, geology, biology and astronomy, this museum is the most important thing in the city, and perhaps one of the most interesting things.
