For many, Nikolaev is associated primarily with its attraction - Nikolaev Zoo. But I didn't get into it, and the city opened to me quite from other sides. Located on the shore of South Bug and Ingula, Nikolaev city of shipboards. One of the rusty specimens meets right at the entrance to the city on the highway, and immediately understand, Oh, Nikolaev! Unmistakable identification sign. The city is similar to architecture, wide streets with many cities of the southern regions of Ukraine. You can find a remote similarity, with a Ternopoly, Ivano-Frankivsk, as much as Lviv. Even the main street of Nikolaev remotely reminds Deribasovaya. This is personally my associations, and if one has something wrong, then waiting for your feedback.
The town is growing, but many parts are not connected with each other with beautiful views. Sleeping area, industrial zone, center, again industrial zone, next area. In the center of monumental buildings, past era, a number of mandatory monument to Lenin.

And the vintage cathedrals, such as the Cathedral, named after the Kaspern icon of the Mother of God.
I could have visited not only in the Orthodox church, but also in the old Catholic church of St. Joseph. There I was even on the Catholic ministry. It was just Sunday, in time, looked at thenter. I love to meet the wonders of architecture, and religious structures. It is always interesting what is there for the exterior. The church was decorated with ribbons hanging from the ceiling, stood shops all washed simplicity and light.
The city found a place and ship anchors. And, of course, in such a city there is a museum of shipbuilding and fleet. Immediately I remember the boats in the bottle and incredible marine adventures. The museum itself did not attend. Maybe another time.
Wide boulevards around green, there are parks, green zone, various alleys for gatherings and rest. In summer, such cities in the bright rays of the Sun are always pleasing to tourists.
And here there is still an embankment. Not in the very perfect condition, but in the rays of the sunset or even better, with the light of the lanterns, very much nothing. Nikolaev as a whole and objectively not bad, in some places the provincial town.
I went home from the railway station, an old not renovated building, nothing noteworthy. It is better to come on minibuses or not to lose optimism and hopes about the bright future, looking at these architectural ruins.
