Sevastopol did not have a special impression. City as a city. Wide spacious avenues, streets. Very "smacks" by the echoes of the last century. Little in it is modern, architecture in most Soviet. Monumental buildings, museums, everything speaks about the Navy, all sorts of victories of the Second World War. The embankment, which is considered to be a landmark here, was not special than impressed, quite dirty. No worse than the embankment in the same Nikolaev, except that a monument in the form of an eagle (flooded ships) is installed right in the water - one of the recognizable attractions. The only thing that I allocated Sevastopol is: minibuses are departed from him to the glorious city of Balaklava. Otherwise, for such an important city, the Crimean Peninsula, as a tourist, he does not reach at all.

Perhaps such an impression was precisely because at first visited Balaclava, then here. There is also a pleasure boat, but after the magnificent nature and capes of Balaklava, it does not even occur to ride them. There are many museums, monuments, various monuments in the city. We visited an interesting small bazaar with antiques, bought souvenirs there. By remembering the road to the bus station, without waiting for the transport, walked on foot. Several times we rained and we went just on puddles.
In such a cloudy and rainy day, we visited the historical and archaeological reserve Chersonese Tavrichesky. These are the ruins of a whole settlement. The entrance, however, is not cheap, and the ruins of the like are found along the Black Sea coast, quite often. Take the same Olbia in the Odessa region. However, here, thanks to the recent entrance, everything is sufficiently well maintained, along with curious tourists are excavated and the construction of a new temple. The territory engaged in the nature reserve is quite large. It is not particularly in a hurry, without a guide, however, we were put in an hour and a half. There is an archaeological museum on site, for those who were not in such museums - will impress. We, after the Odessa archaeological, one of the oldest in Ukraine, is difficult to surprise. In general, not as much as we are passionate about the story, but the settlement once again shows the living people, their life, their homes that have been preserved quite well. And all this on the sea coast, where you can swim and relax yourself, in the company, with family and children.
