This family pub in Victorian style has undergone many changes over long years of existence. But most of the old-fashioned furniture and interior items are preserved, due to the atmosphere in this pub perfectly special. The Maltings is known for its large selection of real barrel, as well as excellent food, which makes it popular among families, especially at lunch on Sundays. Sometimes there can be live music. The bar works from 11 am to 11 pm (on Sunday from noon until 22:30).
The Golden Flece. (16 pavement)
It is argued that this is the oldest pub in the city. Even say that somewhere in the bar they roam the ghosts of the former owners who died many centuries ago. One way or another, the bar was built in 1656 - then it was primarily an innovative courtyard, well, and the pub for guests was simply necessary. We must pay tribute to those who dealt with the decoration hall. And the part that used to be a stable before the hotel was now a pleasant beer garden. The menu includes all the classics of traditional English pubs, snacks, pies and numerous varieties of barrel and bottle beer to choose from. THE BLACK SWAN INN (23 Peasholme Green)
This pub is one of the most highly qualified, elegant pubs, with the interior, which resembles pubs of early 17th century, with dark wood furniture and cozy seats. King's Arm Public House King's Staith)
Pub with a long history, because the building in which the pub is located in the 16th century and has a quite classic interior - wood and brick. Guests can not like a large amount of barrel and bottle beer. The bar works daily from 10 or 12 am to 11 or 10 pm.
Ye Olde Starre Inne (40 StoneGate)
It is perhaps the oldest licensed pub York, and it is located on one of the oldest streets of the city, where there was a major road for almost 2000 years.
