Transcarpathia is a wonderful area, where at any time of the year is beautiful. Not the exclusion of the Transcarpathian town of Mukachevo, which stands on the mountain river of the Latience. I happened to visit these edges in the spring, when the snow still lies on the tops of the mountains, and the quick streams flow from the vertices. The weather was wonderful, sunny, warm, so the walks succeeded (at that time there was almost no city transport, and we walked exclusively by our own way).
This town is really small, compact and some kind of home. The central area of the world is small, but cozy. Here were perpetuated in the bronze of Cyril and Methodius. Once the creators of Slavic alphabet stayed in the city on the way from Bulgaria. Looking at the city hall, on the same square, returning to the past. About the past time resemble the houses of past centuries, very neat and sophisticated. It seemed to me that I was in a tiny European town, where purely, neatly, peaceful.
Residents say that in Mukachevo, different Christian trends were intertwined. It is here that the churches and churches, Protestant churches are located next door. And it is in the order of things.
As you know, there are many vintage castles in Transcarpathia. In Mukachevo, we visited the Castle of the Palana. Transcarpathia is rich in vintage castles and ancient ruins.
It turns out the soloist of the "Ocean Elzy" Group Svyatoslav Vakarchuk and Lolita Milyavskaya Rod from Mukachevo. Such a small town and loud names. Literally in an hour drive to be the center of the Transcarpathian region - Uzhgorod. Also a very colorful city.
We traveled to Mukachevo train Kiev-Uzhgorod. Very conveniently in the evening sat down in Berdichev, and in the morning already in the destination.
