In the past couple of years, the tourist industry has opened a new target group: Gay and Lesbian Tourists. Since then, the number of advertising for this group of people is constantly growing, suspiciously quickly, given that Austria is a fairly conservative country.
There is a simple explanation for this: many homosexual couples-tourists are visitors category DINK (Double Income No Kids, Double Profit without Children). Thus, it is assumed that such tourists can spend more money than other tourists. It makes gay and lesbian, especially expected guests for hotels, bars and shops, which began to develop in this area and are ready to offer special conditions to homosexuals.
