From historical buildings in Fodel, there is the Byzantine Church and the House-Museum of El Greco.
The Byzantine Church is the acting temple, which was built in the gap between the eleventh and fourteenth century. From the church, the magic appearance of orange groves and cypressions opens. In the time of the invasion of the Turks, the church suffered very much to this day, it is not possible to renovate the gallery, which once surrounded the temple.
The house-museum of El Greco - by legend, it was in this building that the great artist Dominicos Teotokopoulos was born, who became famous for the whole world under the pseudonym El Greco. For visitors, the museum was opened in one thousand nine hundred and ninety-eighth year, and before that time, the building was subjected to reconstruction, which lasted for fifteen years. Reconstruction was successful, but only due to the fact that the building was restored by photographs, courtesy of the archive of Valiodolide University of Spain. In the museum, as it should be, as exhibits, the personal belongings of the famous artist and a copy of his work presented in the highlighted stained glass windows are exhibited.
