Very strange, but it was precisely such associations in my fifteen-year-old brain when I imagined the capital of Holland. Do not judge strictly my teenage psyche. Having matured, I myself understood that I was deeply wrong, but a couple of cockroaches still remained, because he opposed to this city with all their might. As it turned out, it was enough and 20 minutes to understand how bad and mistaken children's fantasies are. Finding into this wonderful capital, instantly postpone the world of huge structures and a noisy rapid life of the European city with a capital letter "A". Immediately affect the very impressive size of the Central Station (the construction in the background).
Surprisingly, as soon as it is possible to keep such a bullfin in the purity. Apparently, the authorities seriously care about the appearance of the city.
Where in the first place to go for a long time they did not think for a long time, because abroad is no longer for the first time and we know that all attractions, often focused in the center. The best means of movement around the city for tourists is the train. Actually, the road from the airport to the city center took us only 15 minutes. First of all, our Palace became our goal. We were lucky to see the building after the reconstruction, although before the Amsterdamians say, the palace was inherent in a special charm, he felt the unique spirit of the old man.
The main attraction of the city is undoubtedly the State Museum (Reyxmüseum). It was failed to visit him because of the big line (and the time of staying in the city was very limited for us), and we were content with only his facade, which seems to be able to fall in love with any guest. Not a gift to Amsterdam called the "City of Slasnov".
Anxterdam is also called "Northern Venice". And you can only make sure that you can only order a walk through the city channels. A very interesting fact: for all the time a ride on the ship I counted more than ten houses on the water. It can be assumed that the locals use such an option placement as country houses (something like our cottages). And some of them look even like a permanent residence with their own parked transport.
By the way about transport. A popular means of movement in local residents is a bike. Just imagine that each Amsterdama accounts for an average of three bikes. So, of course, they say the townspeople themselves, who never miss the opportunity to embellish their story, but still. Two-wheeled friends are more common here than any other type of transport, and sometimes the most real landfill is reminiscent of the cycling parking lots, not because the owners of the sludge, just bicycles are really so much that there is no place for them.
Disappointment was only one thing - you need to leave. Thanks to this city for the fact that in one day I was able to rehabilitate so much that it was now deserving the honorable first place among all the places of Europe visited by me.
