Agios Gordis seemed to us the most beautiful place on the whole island of Corfu. There is incredibly awesome nature, cypresses, olive trees, dates, many magnificent colors and shrubs. Agios Gordis is a small village with the same beach and very beautiful, secluded coves at the foot of the cliffs and sheer walls covered with a pine forest. Accordingly, the air here smells amazingly - a cheese, mixed with citrus, spices and flowers with the sea. The climate is soft, Mediterranean, in the afternoon and in the evening is a little cool and blows the wind, on the afternoon the sun takes up very much, it is better to move to the shadow at such a time. Local residents are kind and responsive, enjoy life, there is no bustle or noise, tourists love and help, make discounts, well understand English and some words from Russian. By the way, among the Russians, this resort does not use popularity, many travel agencies do not even work in this direction. But a lot of tourists from England, America, Germany, Italy, Spain and France.
The main beach, Agios Rights - sandy, clean and well-groomed. Many chaise lounges with umbrellas, built-in rows, toilets, showers, changing cabins - everything is very clean. The sea is a bit cool, compared to other coasts of the island. And it goes like stripes, the band is warm, the strip is cold, the depth is the same uneven. The sea is calm, there is no strong waves, the entrance is gentle. There are water entertainment - catamarans, scooter, water skiing, bananas, yachts, sailboats. Other beaches are wild, Little, but also very clean, nor in the sea, nor in the sand of garbage, and there are very picturesque places.
Feed in the village tasty and a lot, cafe and taverns abound. Most of them on the coast and on the main street, at the price and menu they are not particularly different. Maintenance Everywhere is great, the waiters are polite, the tables are clean, the food brings quickly. We most liked the dishes of Greek cuisine, namely Nather, Musaka, Greek salad, shrimp and baked fish. All fresh, portions are large, many fragrant spices.
The village itself is very beautiful, in a typical Mediterranean style, with white houses, beautiful buildings, interesting design of gardens and facades of buildings. It's a pleasure for a walk.
