Little city with big heart!

The capital of the Great Duchy met us with great weather and perfect calmness. A better day to get acquainted with Luxembourg and you will not think up. The first thing you pay attention to when you get here is the absence of people. It is so quiet here and cozy that it seems that you have been moved to a small village with urban architecture. It seems as if this is the place where you dreamed of living all our conscious life.

We decided not to buy any excursions, because the trip on your car opens up opportunities for inspecting all interesting places. Given the small size of Luxembourg, we managed to inspect almost all significant attractions in one day. Our route dating with the city began with the main square, which is located the wonderful cathedral of the Luxembourg of Our Lady.

This is the most revered place among the inhabitants of the city. The cathedral, magnificent inside and amazing outside, is a unique temple made in the Gothic style with elements of the Renaissance Era. Here is one of the most important Christian images of Our Lady holding a little Jesus on the hands. Thanks to this, the crowds of pilgrims arrive in the city, with the aim of touching this shrine. By the way, the facade of the building also decorates the majestic statue of God's Mother of God.

The next place that was not without attention was left was the palace of the Great Dukes - in the past, the first town hall of the city, and in the present - the official residence of the Great Duke. In truth, the exterior of the palace is not particularly noteworthy, and at first we did not even find this building, because it fits surprisingly into the overall architectural composition of the central part of the city. Unlike the external image, the inner decoration of the palace fascinates. When you see all this beauty, you understand - the masters tried to fame. Inside very harmoniously combined yellow marble floor and rich textiles on the walls. A special charm is attached due to the right light. Illumination is an integral part of any palace. It also plays a decisive role.

Another attraction, which was impossible not to visit, is the National Museum of History and Art. It is located in the historic center of the city. The two-hour walk through the museum has discovered almost the entire history of the city, since not only the works of famous painting masters are presented here, but also archaeological exhibits found on the local territories.

Unique nature, history, culture is all that the modern tourist entails these lands. I advise everyone to visit this place!
