Going on a trip to Italy, we didn't even plan to go to Lombardy, for some reason I thought there was nothing to do, because it is one of the largest industrial regions of the country, which region leads to the number of electrical enterprises. There is also a large hydroelectric power station (water in the region is enough), so I did not imagine anything interesting for myself in Lombardy. However, photographs somehow accidentally fell on the Internet, and for the sake of interest I decided to look more details. In luxury landscapes, you can even look in love with just photos! In general, 10 minutes on the Internet and the decision was made instantly - it is worth going to como. Searching for some details, looking at the pictures (especially houses and villas) I immediately thought that one week in Como would cost the entire amount that we planned to spend in several cities of Italy. Anyway, they decided at least a day-two to come in Como.
First of all, if you go to travel on your car, be prepared for foreseen and incurred costs, the roads in Lombardy are good, but unpredictable. The mountain region, roads go through serpentine, so that the car may have problems. However, the trip will justify all expectations, because most of the roads run on very picturesque places.
Looking in advance, I want to say that our rest costs 4 times cheaper than I imagined. We have not taken into account the cost of gasoline, but if you choose CARINAT airplane, then travel will cost approximately 300-350 euros, depending on your route. If you decide to rent a car in place, then the Wolzvagent Polo type car rental will cost approximately 400 euros.
Now the most interesting is food. If you are unpretentious and you can dine in a small cozy restaurant, and not in the expensive restaurant marked with a Michellin star, then a day for a person is enough for 40-50 euros. Here for example, the pizza, which is enough with a head of two, costs only 11 euros in a small local restaurant. Moreover, the pizza was just awesome, despite the fact that in addition to tomatoes, salami and triple cheese, we no longer ordered anything from the stuff.
Roughly speaking, 400 euros for two for a week enough.
It would be possible to save on breakfasts, but we didn't have any point in doing, because the breakfast breakfast at the hotel was already paid. For example, a three-star hotel with breakfast costs approximately 700 euros for two weeks. I advise Il Vecchio Borgo Relais. Another option, more budget, will stop in the apartments, and not at the hotel, then accommodation will cost 450-500 euros.
In Italy, a huge selection of cheeses, in summer there are a lot of vegetables and greens, so buy cheese, vegetables and buns here and there will be a wonderful breakfast.
Another graph of expenses - excursions and tickets to museums. Day for a day is not necessary, but on average 30 euros for two per day enough, plus it all depends on what you want, and what you do not want to watch. 200 euros for a week enough with his head.
And the last point is souvenirs, well, without them. We did not buy them at all, so for parents, friends and familiar couple, they spent no more than 40 euros.
In 1500 euros, you can meet your head, many come to Como for just a couple of days, in which case can be met in 500 euros. So rest will cost much cheaper than it seems!
