Chernivtsi is one of my most favorite cities in Ukraine. This city is the heart of Bukovina, "Little Paris", as it is called it. The city is rich in his architectural masterpieces and national flavor, so you may not doubt that in Chernivtsi there is something to see. For tourists, a pleasant feature of the city is that the historic part of the city is located very compact, everything is near and get lost.
Among the places you should see, first of all, I would like to highlight the street. Olga Koblyanskaya - Central Street of the city. This is a pedestrian street along which there are benches, beautiful flower beds, various cafes and shops. Also walking ul. O. Kobylanskaya you can see an old carriage, feel myself the young lady of the XVIII century (after all, before the street was called Pansk).

The next place is worth viewing in Chernivtsi - Turkish square. In this place you can see a small panorama of the city, the Turkish well (the oldest in the city of Chernovtsy water source), floral clock and an unusually large iron bike, "forgotten by Gulliver." In the evening there is very beautiful illumination.
Before the entrance to the street. Kobyl'anskaya on the central square there is a Chernivtsi city town hall, another monument of national importance architecture. By the way, each in the Town Hall Tower appears, which plays the song "Marichka".

Another place is mandatory for visiting Chernivtsi is theatrical area with Chernivtsi Music and Drama Theater named after Olga Koblyanskaya. This theater was built by the Austrian architects Gelmer and Felner, who later designed the opera in Vienna. If it is possible, be sure to go to the performance. Evening performances begin mainly at 18.30, some at 19.00.
Of course, the main architectural landmark of Chernivtsov is the National University. Y. Fedkovich - the former residence of Bukovinsky Metropolitans. The architectural ensemble of the residence was included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The university is located on St. Kotsyubinskaya 2, the entrance to the territory is paid, but inexpensive (about 70 rubles). There is a small trick. In the summer, in the period of the introductory campaign you can try to get free. Also additionally you can order an excursion.
There are still a lot of interesting places in Chernivtsi, which is worth seeing, so I recommend everyone to come to this wonderful city.
