On La Palma, we were traveling on a cruise ship in the Canary Islands. Before the trip, we read all the information that is not most popular with our island. He himself is small, but very mountainous and green, unlike other Canary Islands.
In the port of Santa Cruz de la Palma, we took the car and drove along a mountain winding road towards the highest vertex - Rock de Los Mucachechos. Next to her is the Observatory. But we could not get to them, because I suddenly saw an indescribable picture - the snow, which were covered by all trees, mountains and, of course, the road. An attempt to ride her on a small typewriter with summer tires was not crowned with success, and we had to turn around.
After that, we returned to the shore and headed into the volcanic part of the island - in Fuenkaliente. There are several small volcanic parks where you can get information and walk around the crater.
In the central part of the island there is a small town of Los Lyanos, next to which the most famous National Park of Caldera de Tabierent is located. Here you will see fantastic landscapes - deep gorges, crumpled greens and cliffs of bizarre forms. Next to the city of El Paso is the center of visitors to the park, from where you can take a walk along the hiking routes of varying degrees of complexity.
Not far from the capital of Santa Cruz de la Palma, there is an observation deck of La Concepcion, overlooking the bay and the city itself, located on the mountainside.
Island at the expense of the landscape is very photogenic. Of course, there are not so many beaches and entertainment for tourists, but for several days on it you can spend quite interesting.
In general, La Palma turned out to be a pleasant place. What we could not drive on the road because of the snow on Canary is our strongest impression of this island.
