The small Italian town of Forte Dei Marmi can rightly be considered the pearl of the Tuscan Riviera. His wonderful location between the Apuan Alps and the Ligurian Sea coast in the province of Lucca. Probably such a wonderful neighborhood of the mountains and the sea just prefticled the formation town to one of the most fashionable and most expensive resorts of Italy. Here you can enjoy nature and fresh air all year round in gentle climate and natural variety. What is still very pleasant surprises, so this is the fact that many central streets of the town are free from cars and all without exception (rich inhabitants and tourists) walk either ride bicycles. A trip or walk along the embankment will be one of the most pleasant adventures in the city. To the mountains from Forte dei Marmi far enough, it is already essentially outside the city, so if there is no car, then on foot or on a bicycle it will not be so easy to get there, although the walk will be quite pleasant.
And so, the name of the town means "Fort from Marmor", so the very first and most important attraction is the Fort itself, more precisely the remains of the old fort.
Even in the city there is a caricature museum and satire, the entrance is free and every year the museum is satisfied with the Satira Politica Prize festival, participation in which journalists, graphics writers and other pen sharks from around the world. The museum works in the evening from 5 to 8, and then from 9 to midnight. Basically, all caricatures on Italian topics and inscriptions are also in Italian, so the point is sometimes very difficult to understand.
And perhaps from historical attractions it's all. There are no vintage castles, art galleries, museums and historical monuments. I do not know what attracts the town of tourists (with very rich tourists), but those who go to look at the historical beauty here to definitely do nothing to do.
Sometimes there are exhibitions of modern little-known sculptors on the main street, this is not happening every day, although it suddenly lucky and see something interesting.
The city is simply crowded in the summer, all parking are clogged with gorgeous cars, and the streets are walking the beauties from-kutuur. All the streets are clogged with gorgeous expensive boutiques, and directly opposite them, how and everywhere they sell fallen Louis Wind :)
In the evening, on the streets at all unleash, noisy and crowded in any tourist town.
My personal opinion after visiting Forte dei Marmi - in Italy (especially in Tuscany, it is there that Forte dei Marmi) a lot of other intricate resorts without praise and bloated chic, where to rest is one pleasure, and the wallet will not suffer from this. For example, very wonderful places are in Tuscany just above La Spices, there and prices are acceptable and people are simpler and paphos less.
