For those who plan in the future to visit one of the most beautiful and old cities of Ukraine, and earlier the ancient Russian state, which is Chernigov, I want to tell about those places that, in my opinion, are of great interest not only from a historical point of view, but also in Plan architecture. During this period of development of history, the city has repeatedly passed from hand to hand, drowning and grinding on the part of foreign invaders. It is located in the Novozavodsky district of the city on Prince Black Street. In the Kurgan "Unnamed" also found items and homemade households. Some of the findings from Kurgan is currently located in the Moscow Historical Museum.
An interesting monument of history is the Savior Transfiguration Cathedral, which was built in the early 11th century and is considered the oldest not only in Chernigov, but also the oldest of the preserved and relative and related and Kiev state. The cathedral was preserved almost in its original form, with the exception of some attacks that were made after the fire in the 18th century. Two others are slightly smaller in size and are called the names of St. Nicholas of the Holy and St. Anthony of Pechersk.
At the entrance to Antoniyev Caves in the 12th century, the Ilinskaya Church was built, which became part of the Trinity-Ilinsky monastery. The constant construction of underground labyrinth by the monks gave rise to many rumors and legends. It was rumored that with the Anthony caves there is an underground course leading to the most Russian Lavra. Also told that in different periods during the capture of Chernigov, all who tried to pursue monks in underground labyrinths, disappeared without a trace. But the main symbol of these caves is the "black monk". This ghost, who wanders under the corridors of the dungeon, has repeatedly seen visitors, especially in the place where the grave of Anthony Pechersky is located.
Scientists cannot explain this phenomenon, as is why different equipment refuses in this place. Nevertheless, everyone says that the caves have some impact on the human body.
This place was specifically chosen for the construction of such a structure, and the old pagan cemetery was played in this, which is the largest in the territory of all Eastern Europe.
In addition, in the territory of Chernigov there are a number of churches, the construction of which refers to the 12th century and which deserve attention as architectural monuments and architecture. This is the Borisoglebsky Cathedral, which is part of the Chernihiv Ancient Reserve and is a national cultural and historical museum.
The decoration of the cathedral is silver gates with gilding, which were performed on the orders of Hetman Mazepa. In addition, there are concerts of spiritual music. It is located next to the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral on the territory of the Tartens Park.
