Winter resort Dragobrat is located at the foot of the high mountain stig (1700 meters above sea level). The mountain is one of the highest in Ukraine. And it is here, on the slopes of the mountain organized a good and quite expensive ski resort.
This winter is located just a few hours drive from Ivano-Frankivsk, in the Dragotra Valley of the same name. Due to the peculiarities of the snow climate of snow on the slopes of the resort are always in prosperity, almost 5 months a year. Starting from the middle of November, the resort is fully opened for everyone.
It should be noted that it is a bit problematic to get a little problematic, the resort is not disclosed as "Bukovel", there is no advanced infrastructure to it for him only the doping transport, the same private owners. So, from Ivano-Frankivsk on a minibus or flight bus first on the town of Yaremcha, then to the foot of the Mountain Stig. And at the foot will be waiting for you not to understand the species, semi-pedago assembly car (whether gas, or UAZ), with not a particularly comfortable seven-piece kung. Although transport in appearance is a noncase, but only it can be climbed to the top.
The rest of the transport (even dodged SUVs) will not be able to overcome the third path. Therefore, I would like to warn those who still try to get on personal transport - it will not work anyway. Safety at best clutch and challenge your car travel. And the road is some complicated and dangerous.
The price of travel in the "seven-bed monster of the handicraft production" from 300 to 350 UAH. The road is up to the top of the Crimean serpentine, but an order is more dangerous. We look, outside the window is the magnificent Carpathian nature with high firs (in the Carpathians called Small, and under the wrapped chains of wheels narrow, looked primer, passing over quite deep cliffs. Beautiful and scary. Mixed feelings.
Reaching the top, stupor. It takes away a stunning view of the pristine nature, the heart freezes from the beauties around. And the air is kulen and smells of fir.
So that all fears were instantly forgotten, and we went to accommodate a previously reserved hotel "Hut Magnate", in my opinion.
Most of the campground hotels are made in Carpathian style - wooden logs. The conditions for living are wonderful. Decent, cozy rooms with all the amenities (bathroom, shower). Personnel speaks. Magyarsky mixture with Ukrainian and a bit Russian. From the beginning, some words are simply not clear, but 2-3 days of communication, understood everyone and everything. The Slavs brothers are like that. The price for the camping number varies from 150 UAH. per day per person. The price includes a two meal. Our campsite was a little away from the main buildings, it was possible, of course and closer to remove the room, but the price painfully becomes "bitble". The closer to the tracks, the more expensive number (from 300 UAH).
Riding tracks are opened in the morning, approximately 9 hours, but equipped weakly, if compared with the bowls. In the dark time, the descent does not work, there is no lighting. At the top of one, the only searchlight and that so, for beauty. And at the same time, the tracks are very interesting, both for a beginner and professionals.
There are enough descents for people with different levels of preparation. Even a few children and descents for learning with an instructor. Hour lesson with instructor 150 UAH. Who knows how to ride at all, better use the services of the instructor, will be healthier.
At the ski resort there are 7 different lifts, there is a passage of 15 UAH.
You can and cheaper, subscriptions are sold on a variety of types of lifts. In comparison with Bukovel, the services are the same and the price is twice the lower. The same case is also with equipment rental. Of course, it is possible to equip at the hotel, at the place of residence, but these services are more expensive than in rental points. At the box office price ski equipment 80 UAH. per day, Snowboard 100 UAH.
There are many frank stupidity in the resort. At the lifting itself, right opposite the descent from the mountain of the instructor's house. And behind the house the descent continues. So that completely, with the breeze, the ride must be a strong enough professional (not a joke, linen at speed and go around the house). There was no such day, so that this house was not "imprinted" by some kind of dashy skier - extreme.
And the medical center here is so for a tick, just put according to the instructions. It sits a graduate of a medical college, which in the bruises understands as an "elephant in oranges". In the medplex in the presence of analgin and activated carbon, nothing more. Everything from personal experience - fell on the descent.
At the ski resort is a good entertainment industry. Mass of bars, restaurants, several nightclubs with a good musical program. There is a good disco, located almost at the peak of the mountain, but we went there, we were enough at the bottom of the entertainment.
The design of entertainment establishments is stunning, made in the national hutsul style. And the kitchen in the cafes is mostly national. The "awesome" first dishes, especially the soup with Kleckov flavored with something national, Banoches on the second, deunun and naturally emphasis, infused on berries and herbs. Delicious. The price is excellent, full dinner up to 50 UAH.
Bukovel did not dream with his pathos and Pontami for the rich.
Resort Charm. I liked almost everything. Stunningly beautiful nature. The air is clean, service and comfort at the level, and the prices are just charm.
