In the Dnieper I was as many as two times a few days. Summer and early spring. Both times the city made a pleasant impression on me. It is unusual in his own way and especially beautiful. The streets are wide, many public transport, trams are found right at the exit (or entrance) to the railway station. And they will immediately take deep into the city, to the center. Tramways go in the middle of the green zone, and on both sides, counter movements. I even managed to ride on the excursion open tram, where the conductor was moved outside the carriage on a small protrusion. According to Karl Marx Avenue, among this greenery, artists traded paintings and other souvenirs. And nearby, if you pass by shopping centers and the circus buildings, you get on the embankment.
Wide space opens with tourists. This panorama is not in every city you can see. In the middle of the river, directly from the water beats the fountain, around the sculptures are located, the bridge over the Dnieper extends. This is the main attraction, in my opinion, which is a visiting card of the city.
The first impression of the city is very good. In the central part, the city is well-groomed, cozy and pleasantly walk on him, there are quite a few parks. In one even wooden sculptures of cartoon characters, there are a number of religious structures and other sights. Even shopping centers are well developed and there are no problems in the purchase of products 24 hours a day.
It is also worth noting that there is a subway in Dnepropetrovsk. And this is the shortest branch in all of Ukraine. Yes, and Dnepropetrovsk is one of three cities in which it is (more Kiev and Kharkov). The stations are not distinguished by special diversity, and there are only 5. They are decorated during the times of the Soviet Union and differ in each other in colors. Previously, he tied the industrial area with the center. Now with the development of transport and decline in the work of industry, this type of transport is not particularly popular, moreover, it is even a loss. But it is cheaper to support afloat than to fall asleep. And it will not be able to throw it either, over time flooding and collapse can occur. So it lives and is the strategic object on old memory, it is strictly forbidden to shoot at the stations, the staff follows it, especially behind the group of people, considering every person with a potential spy lens.
And another discovery was the developed district. In the first trip, I did not see him and did not suspect that it could be. But for the second time, local showed me how sullenly nearby industrial facilities. It is enough to go out at a certain metro station, as you can face gray, dust, smog clouds in the air and such an unpleasant feeling, as if I got into an abandoned city - Pripyat or Chernobyl. Five fitters immersed in gray and dust. More often in that area, during the intensive work of the factories, it is an unpleasant smell. So on the map of the blooming skating city of the millionnik, too, has its own black spots.
