Saratov - the city is relatively large (800 thousand inhabitants) and not essential from the point of view of architecture and history, but it is unlikely that it can be called attractive for tourists. It can be considered except as a place for summer holidays on a honesty with swimming and fishing. Summer in the local places is usually dry hot weather. Volzhskoye reservoir, on the shores of which costs Saratov, warms up to the bottom: water temperature can reach +25 degrees Celsius. In the Saratov, there are several places suitable for summer holidays. It:
- Zapoda area with beaches-solariums (swimming there is forbidden, however, local residents and visitors constantly violate the ban);
- Green island connected to the coast of ferry crossing (here is truly safe beaches and cozy fishing places);
- Island Golden Sands, where the official city beach is located; True, it is possible to get in this place in just one way: on foot along the high, bending arc bridge through the Volga.
25 kilometers from Saratov is the provincial village of Volzhsky Dali. The village is famous for picturesque oak forests and a very comfortable equipped beach, but due to the distance from the city, its infrastructure is not too well developed.
Safety of recreation in Saratov can be estimated on the Four with a minus. In the city itself, a fairly calm criminogenic situation, but local tourbases are places where it is better to call in large companies: territories are rarely protected, drunk scandals and fights there are not uncommon. Large sanatoriums, on the contrary, are protected relatively qualitatively.
The advantages of Saratov as a summer resort are excellent weather, the ability to go fishing, scenic places. Minuses - inadequate high cost of local turbases and sanatoriums. Rare people choosing between rest on the sea and rest in Saratov choose the latter, provided that the "issue price" is about the same.
