Food at the hotel

Tasty and satisfying in Prague is not a problem. If you are on the journey to book a hotel, I do not advise you to order a food system at which you have to eat only at the restaurant of your hotel. Given that many hotels are offered for guests a breakfast system, you can stay on this. I will explain that the hotel breakfasts will be continental, including standard set: sausage, meat, cheese slices, muesli, yogurts, hot sausages, omelet, eggs, vegetables, fruits, butter, tea, coffee, what, milk, juice, bun . Depending on the hotel, the set of products may vary, but in our hotel there was all of the above.

A dense breakfast will make it seriously saving funds on a two-time diet. That is, lunch and dinner could simply combine into a nice afternoon. We did that.

Now I will tell you about food outside the hotel. I think that future travelers are more worried.

Cook yourself

So, from the proposed options, you can choose either feeding in cafes, restaurants, or cook yourself, or snack on the move "fast" food.

An option with independent preparation of food from the products purchased in the supermarket will be the cheapest, but also the most time consuming. In addition, if you can do with sliced salads, and you are going to prepare hot dishes, you will have to settle in the relevant apartments with the kitchen, but all hotels in Prague will be able to offer such rooms. When we were going to rest, I will say honestly, such an option was not even considered by us.

Smells on the go

Food "On the go" has, of course, its advantages in the form of time saving. This is suitable for those who do not like long-term mending processes, or for those who eat often, but in small portions. In any case, snacks sandwiches can negatively affect the stomach state. In general, the maximum that we allow you to eat during the walk - this is ice cream. But the choice is yours, especially since the Prague is enough such institutions of fast food, where you can cheap something to buy something.

From personal experience, I can only give an example, as after all, after a long loss around the cakes, we decided to try them. Bought these fragrant chocolate biscuits in one of the shops-cafe on Wenceslas Square. They were not suiced, but the impressions did not make absolutely, and a few minutes later we had a belly with her husband. Unfortunately, our experience has once again proved to us that we are not suitable for such nutrition.

Local cafes

And now our option, which I consider the most optimal, especially in Prague, is a cafe. It turns out that this is the most expensive option, but at the same time prices in Prague cafes are not very high, but by the standards of our Russian restaurants, very much. But what are there a portion! I could not even imagine that such a number of food could eat one person at once. In addition, in defense of this method, I can say that only in local cafes you can try Czech cuisine with all its characteristic features.

Having arrived around the city to strong fatigue, we could then sit in a cafe 3-4 hours, slowly at the conversations, drinking delicious local beer and shutting meat yummy. Only with this mode, huge portions could fit in us.

I will say right away that the feature of Czech cuisine is the calorie meat food made on the grill - fried pork ribs, chicken wings, sausages, and finally, "Veprovo" knee (baked pork leg). Soups in a cafe is not too common dish. As a side dish, you can, of course, order and potatoes, but it will be a very heavy combination. Therefore, in addition to sauces that are served with the main dish, it is better to take vegetable salad. His portion is also huge, so one is enough for two. Salads like "Olivier" or others with meat components we also did not meet.

It is prepared very tasty, every dish gives true pleasure. Describe our impression from Czech cuisine, I probably can't. For Myasoys, there is a right paradise. The average account for two adults people when ordering two meat dishes and one salad, as well as 5-6 beer mugs, it was 500-600 Russian rubles. A mug of freshly directed indescribably delicious beer (dark or light) was worth 50-60 rubles in a cafe, and in the store a bottle of the same volume (0.5 l) - 30-40 rubles. Moreover, the bottle beer is not inferior in taste.

Why did such attention be paid beer? The answer is obvious - because it is a "traditional" drink in Prague. I have never been a beer fan in my homeland. Now I understand why. Even a husband who drank before the trip (unlike me) of the beer of Russian manufacturers, on arrival for another half a year not a local drink did not buy. The taste and content of alcohol is absolutely different. Usually in Prague sell beer with alcohol content of only 2-3%. It is very soft. Until recently, its use was not even forbidden when driving a car. Many local cafes have their own minibers, so they are always fresher beer.

And a couple of advice

Let me give a few tips to future tourists. We decided to try once dine in the Italian restaurant, this is a more pathetic place than local food institutions, but this hike has brought much less. The seafood paste and the Caesar Salad could not be inclinations of our taste addictions in their direction, and the account, twice as far as our usual dining budget, and at all made it fracture. In general, we even regretted this visit to the restaurant. I do not advise you to do the same.

Tip number 2. When choosing a cafe, remember that in tourist destroyers, food is always more expensive and a little less tasty. Preparation of dishes are delivered to the stream and is not designed for long-term attraction of customers. There are a lot of visitors in such places, therefore noisy and you can not always find loose places, not always the staff have time to quickly serve all customers. Therefore, do not be lazy to go down a little deep into even the central streets. Most likely 100 meters from the crowded place somewhere around the turn you can find a more secluded place in which the Czechs themselves eat. By the way, the Czechs in the evenings are very loved to sit behind the beer in a large company and communicate with each other. In such establishments you will serve you much faster, you can sit quietly and penetrate the atmosphere of Prague color.

As our acquaintances said, a trip to Prague turned out to be some kind of gastronomic tour. Bon Appetit everyone!
