Those who wish to make their journey to Portugal bright and interesting should certainly come to Sintra. It is simply impossible to evaluate the beauty of this city in one day. It should be unambiguously try to allocate two to three days to visit all interesting places.
What sights do the attention of tourists deserve? Help with the answer to this question can map of the city with all seats worthy of attention. You can get it freely in infopuncture, for example, in the area of the railway station. From this place you can make a circular excursion by bus. During the rise of tourists, it is allowed to go off the bus and inspect the sights, and after that it is free to sit on the next bus (a ticket costs 5 euros). National Palace (Palacio Nacional de Sintra)
Located the National Palace in the historic part of the city. It has a second name - rustic and is considered a Sintra Business Card. For four centuries, the palace was the place of residence of the monarch of Portugal. Small sizes of structures allow it to examine it literally for half an hour. The inner decoration of the palace combines various styles. Two 33-meter kitchen chimney pipes - syntra symbols, visible from many points of the city. Personally, at me, a visit to this place did not make a special impression.
The attraction has a landmark from 9:00 to 17:30. The entrance ticket costs 8.5 euros (adult), 7 euros (children), free children under 6 years old. You can get to the palace by bus or on foot. The pointers are installed in the city, it is simply impossible to get lost.
Palace and Pena Palacio Nacional Da Pena
Palace, undoubtedly, is a work of art. It has two wings, lifting bridge, gear towers. All facilities are unique and multicolored (yellow, pink and gray). This architectural monument was built for 40 years and expected a romantic style. The interior of the palace was preserved in the form, in which his last mistress left - Queen Amelia. The most beautiful part of the palace, in my opinion, is the courtyard and the surrounding Palace of the park with exotic plants. In this beautiful place you can see Araucaria and Sequoia, and from the viewing sites there is a stunning review on the surrounding area.
The palace with the park is open from 10:00 to 18:00. A ticket to the palace costs 11 and 9 euros for adults and children, respectively. Visit the park you can adult for 6 euros, and for children for 5 euros. Save money by purchasing one ticket for a joint visit.
Kinta da Regaleira (Quinta da Regaleira)
A little advertised, but no less bright and charming is the Kinta da Raaleir Park. In this mysterious place, art and human fiction worked closely. Manor, a well with a spiral staircase and a park filled with caves with secret strokes, labyrinths and grotes I liked most of all other places in Sintra. Depending on the mood, the park can be visited alone, with friends and family. In order to understand the idea of the park, it needs to go from the bottom of the dedication to the paradise garden. For an adult visiting costs 4 euros, 2 euros for children.
Not far from the historic center is located Montserrat Park and Palace which can be visited if possible. On the park there is a chapel, Indian arch, pink and Japanese gardens. In 2013, after the restoration, the park was discovered for visitors (from 10:00 to 18:00). A ticket for an adult 6 euros, a children's ticket 5 euros.
Children will be interested to see the exhibits in Museum of toys (Museu Do Brinquedo). For 50 years, the Portuguese Joao Arbes Maeiira collected more than 40 thousand toys from various eras. All of them are exhibited on two floors of the 4-storey museum. The remaining two floors occupy a workshop, shop and restaurant.
