Many times heard of the city's monumentality, but they were never closely familiar and did not even consider it before, because there was a feeling that Austria was too expensive. But the high cost turned out to be a mistake rather, especially since the impression of the city was eclipsed by a lot, which was seen before.
Each church in Vienna is a separate luxurious work of art, and quite simple outside tend to be fascinating inside. It is pleasant to fly to the center from one beautiful building to another, both in the afternoon and after sunset. The highlighting of the attractions is quite decent, therefore, even in the conditions of the mischievous January day, we managed to see a lot. But 9 days - there is little for this city, and I think that in the warm season it would be especially felt when I want to wander a long time, sit in an open cafe and so on.
If we talk about the main attractions, focused in the center, then they can be fluent in and please consider on a special tram, which walks along Ringguard - a vehicle ring. Walking is also easy - everything is located close. We started with Svidenplatz and gradually moved to Hofburg. Perhaps, no building was not remembered for me during the years of travel, like the Hofburg ensemble: a huge, well-groomed (like everything in Vienna), smoothly passing into two huge museums located opposite each other. We adore museums, and in Vienna went around everything they managed: in the museum of natural science, an excellent collection of minerals and fossil animals. In the artistic historical, cook legs and in battle: the wonderful collection of Rubens and no less impressive works of Velasquez. The museum is prudently located cafe: you can eat tightly before another jerk)) it is important that both museum outside and inside are beautiful themselves without paintings and exhibits. Looking for the ceilings and decoration, I sometimes forgot, why came.
In addition to museums, in Vienna, an excellent zoo, he has a big territory, there are several separate pavilions of the delightful look - again you forget that you are on the territory of the zoo. Although navigation and collection of animals is inferior, for example, Berlin Zoo. There are a few more prominctions that are not in the central part of the city, but standing to get to them: Belvedere (a huge territory, delightful architecture - in the summer to attend necessarily!), Military Historical Museum and Schönbrunn (there, where and the zoo).
