As such attractions in Sanur are not particularly much. This is a city with rich natural attractions. But the temples and palaces are not enough here. But here, what can be passed here:
Le Mayeur Museum
This is the house of the late Belgian impressionist Adriana Jean Le Mayer, who lived the last years of his life to Bali. After death, his house became a museum dedicated, of course, his works. Le Mayer arrived at Bali in 1932 and soon so plunged into a rich culture of the island, which decided to stay here, and even married a fairly famous Balinese dancer (which at the time of their acquaintance, between those, it was 15 years old). Most of the house stays in the same condition, in which house was in the life of the artist (and he died in 1958). So, in addition to viewing the works of the Master, visitors can get an idea of how one of the first expats of Bali lived. Of course, this is not a lush museum, and the building really needs to be repaired, but the house museum is still one of the treasures of Bali.

Mangrove Forest Information Center (MANGROVE INFORMATION CENTR (MIC))
This center is located in a huge territory (600 hectares), coated with mangrove forests, which are focused on the east coast south of Sanur. As you know, these mangrove trees are extremely important for the ecosystem, but today they are mercilessly cut down. Balinese beat alarm! Through the forests run long milk bridges, which can be stroll and see what this miracle is. Well, in the center there are important work on the upbringing of local schoolchildren, as well as told tourists about the importance of mangrove forests. This is not the most advertised and popular among tourists a place on Bali, and, probably, only for the better. Plantation of forests standing in water, impressive! It is not only great to walk and breathe fresh air, but you can even go fishing. A good place to look here for a couple of hours with children.

Temple Pura Blanjong (Pura Blanjong)
Probably, this is the most famous temple in Sanur. And even valuable historical building, as in the temple on one of the stone column (Prasati Blanjong) contains important inscriptions. The inscriptions are talking about the Javanese king, who visited Bali Azh in the 10th century and set something like the first official government of Bali. In general, this temple is an old famous Bali artifact, over which they are very shaking.

Seransgan
Seransgan Island, or Turtle Island, is south of Sanur, and he simply adore surfers. And sea turtles, as it is already clear from the name. This island once artificially joined the road from Bali, and also expanded the territory (Sranshan's area increased from 133 to 500 hectares due to limestone embankments).
This is not a green paradise island. The surface of the island of the desert. What is the most interesting thing - in the period of betting here sometimes you can even walk on foot (although no one does, everyone goes on mosses on the roads). During the tide, it is better to get to the boat! Interesting island, of course, turtles.
In the dams, these huge green marine messengers are found. By the way, in Sanora there is a serengan wildlife guard center (Serangan Island Turtle Conservation Central; is approximately 3 km south of the center of Sanur, close to Mercure Resort Sanur - you need to turn east from JL NGURAH RAI). If you are interested in the subject of current environmental initiatives and processes, then you must go to this center.
So here. Sransgan once the center of Balinese trade in the turtle meat until this practice was banned. What else is interesting on the island? In the south-west of the island, on the beach itself, there is a sacred construction of Pura Sakenan (Pura Sakenan) -Hram 16th century. Once a year, during the celebration of Manis Canning, believers from all over the island comes.
To be clear, this is one of the days of the Holy Holiday Galungan, that is, the celebration of the Victory Dharma over Adharma. The holiday marks the time when the spirits of the ancestors attend the Earth. The last day of the celebration, the eleventh, is called Manis Canning, and this is the time when the spirits come back to themselves, and this event of the Balinese is magnificently celebrating, next to this temple, and the temple bring treats.
On the eastern side of the island, another oldest temple is located, Pura Keera (Pura Cemara), well, it is impossible to pass by the Temple of Gedong Ceema (Gedong Cemara) with an unusual and unique for Bali architecture. It is also worth visiting the Buginisian village with a cemetery and mosque - the Balinese Muslim community lives there. Fans of surfing the island will definitely like (especially, East Beach), and divers gorgeous coral reefs with fish off the coast of Seransgan will definitely like the soul.
INTERNATIONAL KITE FESTIVAL (INTERNATIONAL KITE FESTIVAL)
This, of course, is not a landmark, but the event is very interesting. The festival on the beach is Padang Galak (north of Sanur, east of the main traveling Jalan NGURAH RAI).
Annual International Festival occurs in July. Traditional Balinese giant snakes are huge - up to 10 meters long. They make them whole teams from neighboring villages, from the neighboring islands and even from around the world. To launch the largest snakes, it takes up to twenty people! This magnificent event has religious origins - residents launched bright air coins, in order to "inform" the Hindu gods that residents hope for abundant yields this year. In addition to the actual festival, tourists can see how the inhabitants of Sanur come on weekends to the beaches to run the air snakes for pleasure. They are not as gigantic, but it looks still festive!
