Eger is a small town in the north of Hungary, where about 56 thousand people live. I guess, many of us just did not hear about him, but there is very beautiful and certainly there is something to see.
Serf Museum in Eger (Egrivar)
It is known that the first fortress on the mountain was erected in the 13th century, however, in time of the Tatar-Mongolian invasion the fortress fell and was very destroyed. Later, the fortress was restored by local bishops, and soon the construction became the main defensive building of the region. Once the fortress was much larger, and it was surrounded by additional massive walls. 1552 became a turning point in the history of the fortress - the army and residents (2100 people) managed to defend the fortress from the huge Turkish army, and the defense lasted 33 days. After that, Baron Ishthan Dobo, who led the defense, became the National Hero of Hungary. By the 18th century, the fortress stopped performing defensive functions and became an ordinary building, and, quite sad outside. Finally, at the beginning of the last century, the fortress was decided to restore and spend on the territory of the excavation. Research results can be seen in the museum in the fortress. The bishop palace was also restored, in fact, where, on the first floor, and the museum is located. And in the Hall Hall, you can see the grave of Dobo, as well as a slab with a list of defenders of the fortress. On the second floor there is a picture gallery, where you can admire the pictures of Dutch, Italian, Austrian and Hungarian artists. Also, if you find yourself in Hungary in October, then visit the annual Festival "Days of the Eger Fortress" with the most interesting knightly tournaments, concerts, exhibitions and costume ideas. Valley Krasavitz
It is the wine of the valley, which is famous for its wine cellars, but this is why the place is called this way, it is still not clear even to local residents. But it is assumed that in this area they lived (and live) the most beautiful women of the city. Other locals will tell you that the valley began to be called exactly the way, because men came here for their fun from Eger, because of the fault, and also because Slutty girls lived here. Anyway, the place is beautiful, and definitely, this is a paradise for lovers and connoisseurs of wine. Tourists are offered wine tasting in the cellar in the form of a semicircle and lunch with beautiful Hungarian dishes, which is accompanied by living gypsy music. If you can, visit interesting programs that are arranged here, for example, Magyarsk weddings, walking parties, national rhodation for collecting vintage and others.

Egerszalok village (Egerszalok)
Little village of Egersamelok in the valley of the Lashko River is 9 km from Eger to Southwest. No more than 2,000 inhabitants live here. The main attraction of the city is hydroelectric and Velnes-swimming in the south of the town. Water in sources beaten from a depth of 410 meters, and hot water is 65-68 degrees. They bloom along the hill and cover it with salt. Salts so much that a hundred years of existence of this source has already formed a massive salt cone. If you find it difficult to imagine how it looks at all, then remember the Turkish Pamukkale, only the place is much less known and crowded, so much more comfortable here. Or, maybe someone heard about the Yosemite National Park in the USA. That's all, there are no such wonders in the world. As you can guess, these water is extremely useful for health, and help especially those who have problems with the musculoskeletal system. The resort is big - about 2000 sq.m. College of Esterhazi Caroli (Eger Lyceum)
This antique building was erected in the 18th century. It was planted to open the university in this building, but the plans were not destined to come true, and so the lyceum appeared on this place. Square building with a patio in the center is impressive, first of all, its facade in the style of Baroque and Ampir. Its larger building planning: large rooms, three spacious hall with ceilings at the level of the third floor, ceilings with the frescoes of the Austrian artist and the fresco "blessed", in the northern wing, as well as a rich library.

Minorite Church (Szent Antal-Templom)
This is one of the most beautiful vintage baroque churches in the whole country. It can be found in the city center in Square Ishthan Dobo. She was erected in 1773. The church surrounds vineyards, no less beautiful. Very beautiful facade with two bell tower with clocks that can be heard three times a day: at 11, at 15 and 18 hours. The church is interesting for its frescoes of the end of the 16th century and the luxurious statue of St. Anthony.

City Hall of Eger CITY HALL EGER)
The city hall building was erected in 1755 on the project of a local famous architect. The building is located on the Central Square of Dobo, in the historic part of the city. Near the Merigation you can see a monument to the Hungarian soldiers. An interesting and very realistic monument, by the way, was installed in 1968 and he depicts the fight of the Hungarian equestrian warrior with two Turkish invaders in 1596.
It is worth noting that the originally building of the city hall was the usual home, but from the beginning of the last century it turned into an administrative building, which impresses tourists with his stucco and the facade in the neoclassical style with the elements of Baroque.

Cheboksary District
Interestingly, one of the urban areas is named after the Russian Volga city of Cheboksary. And all because once our compatriots helped build houses in the area. Accordingly, in Cheboksary there is an Eger Boulevard, as a sign of respect for the city-twin. The area is quite beautiful and located almost in the city center, near the Eger Fortress and the Church of Minorites.

The horse farm is located on the top of the Karszt hill and it was built in 1580. The breed of the end of the climbing, by the way, was grown specifically for the imperial yard.
