To get to Brno, the official and cultural capital of South Moravia, the second most important city in the Czech Republic, is possible through the main air harbor of the region. Brno-Turzhany Airport is located ten kilometers southeast of the main city of the South Oven.
To get here directly from Russia is currently possible only from Vnukovo's Moscow airport thanks to the flights of UTair. From the airport to the city there is public transport - bus number 76 during the daytime and bus number 89 - to the night. Buses run once in half an hour, to the main railway station you can get in 20 minutes. Ticket price - 25 Czech crowns (this is about one euro). You can get to the city and by taxi, the cost of a trip from 300 kroons or 12 euros.
Much more flights from Russia, including from the regions, take the capital airport named after Vaclav Gavel (the distance from Prague to Brno - 185 km) and the Vienna Schwechat Airport (distance Vienna Brno - 130 km). And from Prague, and from Vienna you can reach Brno on airplanes, but considering the distance, do it stupid, expensive and not rational in time. A more adequate way to get from these two European capitals is ground transport.
For example, bus. Directly from the Vienna Airport the road will take just over two hours, serve the route Yellow buses of the Czech company Student Agency and Red Eurolines. The price of tickets on average 15 euros, in Brno buses stop or at the main railway station, or the bus station near the Grand Hotel (both stations, in principle, are close to each other).
On the same Student Agency and Eurolines from Prague you can reach Brno. Bus depart from Prague bus station Florence every half hour, travel time is 2.5 hours, the cost of a ticket is about 10 euros. Also from Prague Airport to Brno buses for Czech airlines. And as an option - a taxi, worth 150 euros per car.
From Vienna and Prague to Brno go and train. The train from Vienna, departing from the southern station of the city to the main station Brno, goes around two hours, the ticket price of approximately 25 euros, the reservation of space in the train is sold separately and costs 4 euros.
From the Prague main railway station to Brno, trains will depart every hour and get to the city's main station less than 3 hours. The ticket costs about 8 euros (200 Czech crowns).
By train or bus to Brno can be reached from other European cities: Bratislava, Budapest, Berlin. Before Brno, you can get from Czech towns: Olomouts and Ostrava.
