Cologne is a wonderful city with thousands of places worth visiting. There really is what.
The most important attraction of Cologne - Cologne Cathedral (Kölner DOM).
By the way, one of the highest cathedrals in the world and began to build him in the 13th century (though, finished in 19th). The building amazes its greatness! When you look at him, the head is spinning!
At the same time, the cathedral is the burial site of the famous archbishops. I will not write in detail about the cathedral, the Internet is sisit of detailed information, but I will say that I was struck by the Cologne Cathedral to the depths of the soul.
The entrance to the cathedral is free, from 6 am to 19:30 (from November to April) and the remaining months - from 6 am to 9 pm. In the cathedral there is a treasury with gold, silver relics, sculptures of the Middle Ages.
Treasury is open from 10 am to 6 pm, enter € 4. You can also climb on the observation platform on the tower in the cathedral. The height is impressive, about 100 meters, and the look opens amazing. True, to get to the tower, it will have to overcome 533 steps. In winter, the observation deck is open from 9 am to 4 pm, during the rest of the months - 9 am to 5 or 6 pm. Input- € 3.
