From a sightseeing point of view, Weihai, far from the most interesting place for lovers of antiquities, because in addition to the monastery of Fahuayan and the Temple complex of Bolanian other historical sites there is no nearby, and these two cultivations of the cult cannot be called great historical monuments of history. Rather, the sights of local importance, although some historians believe that Taoiism was born in the monastery of Fahuayuan in the way, in what it is now, judgment is controversial and constantly disputed. But if not only the story is interesting, but also the spectacle, then there are no problems in Wayya. There are a lot of sightseeing tours, and you can buy them, both in street tourist agencies and in major tour operators. The second option is not particularly interesting, as you get all the same, just pay one and a half times more. This is what is offered for vacationers:
- Bolanian. This is a temple complex located on a very picturesque coastal area with turbulent vegetation. There are several temples on the territory, some of which are at least 2-3 centuries. But it is not here not because of the temples, but because of the species. They are awesome here. The duration of the trip is 4 hours.
- Fahuayan. 5 hour excursion to the southern slope of Mount Chishhan. Beautiful place with a large number of Taoi culture monuments. But the main thing in this excursion is not natural landscapes, but the idea of the struggle of good with evil, which are carried out specifically for tourists. Colorful, enchanting and fascinating. Do not break, tested on personal experience. The 86 meter sculpture of the Buddha sampling on the slope of the mountain is still striking.
- Thermal sources. The resting is offered bathing in thermal springs rich in microelements and open-air minerals. Time of 3 hours (there and back), but how much time will spend time in the baths themselves depends on how to agree. It stands here on your own, hiring a taxi driver. It is cheaper, and in time does not depend on anyone. In total, the complex 68 baths + there is fish therapy. True, the latter is about anything. Rather for ticking.
- Oceanarium in the city of Penglay. It is believed that this is the largest oceanarium in Asia, although it can argue with this. Specially buying a tour of it, as well as thermal sources, no sense. It's easier to hire a taxi, and tickets to buy at the box office on the spot. The distance from Wayhha to Panlay is overcome in about 3 hours. A little tedious for children, but the scale of the oceanarium is impressive.
- Museum of pearls. It is located in 8 kilometers from the city of Weihai. Weihai Peninsula is famous for all China its production and the extraction of these natural semi-precious stones. The museum tells about how this fishing originated, as developed, as well as will show interesting pearls. At the museum there is a store where you can buy yourself products from pearls at a completely imputed price.
- Zoo (Safari Park). I do not know, maybe it is a local habit, saying that they are all the biggest and largest in Asia, but nevertheless the zoo speak the same thing. It is located in 50 kilometers from the city (about 1.5 hours of the road) near the village of Sysykoou. Very nice to look at animals, not in cells, but in their natural conditions. Tropicks for inspection are stylized under the Great Wall of China. Especially children like pandas that can be fed pre-purchased for this feed.
