Ivano-Frankivsk (or Phrannik, as he is often called) I visited during the first trip in Western Ukraine.

There are ancient temples, which is a lot. Local residents, by the way, are very religious (this is noticeable in Lviv, and in general in these places) - you are going to go to the church in a minibus - almost all passengers are baptized.
Many monuments of various people who left the mark in the history of the city.
For tourists, by the way, the city is quite convenient - there are many pointers to attractions are duplicated in English, many inexpensive cafes and hotels.
And in general, the inhabitants of Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as on all Western Ukraine, seemed to me very friendly to visitors, regardless of where people came from and in what language they speak.
