The most important, perhaps the attraction of the Montenegrin resort Ultsin is the Old Town. However, this area is conditionally divided into two parts - to the lower city and to the upper city, often called Citadel. That particularly this place is particularly interesting not only to tourists, but also actually true connoisseurs of classical literature.
The fact is that it is here who once a long-year time was sharpened by Miguel de Cervantes, a famous Spanish writer. And in fact, it was precisely this citadel according to the legend once inspired him to create an image of an excellent Dulcinei, who became the beloved of the legendary Don Quixote. Also on the territory of the old city of Ulzin are located two beautiful museums - archaeological and ethnographic.
In general, this architectural ensemble must be visited, you will not regret it at all, because there are still a Turkish fountain of the XVI century and a city lighthouse, as well as a magnificent panorama of the city, as well as museums and beautiful architecture. In essence, the entrance to the old city is free with the exception of the territory with museums, here you have to pay one euro.

Ultsin is essentially a city standing on the border of two cultures, and this respectively suggests that religions are also. Here it is quite possible to simultaneously hear a call for a prayer, which is distributed from the height of any of the minarets in the mosque, and the sounds of Orthodox bells.
One of the oldest in the city is considered a sailor mosque, which was destroyed at the beginning of the 20th century, and in 2012 completely renovated. It is located in the central district of Ulzin almost on the waterfront. Since its minaret is very high and well positioned, it is often used as a lighthouse.
The western side of the walls of the Old Town is located the Church of St. Nicholas. And what is interesting - it rises at this very place, starting from the end of the XIX century. In general, its predecessor was the monastery of St. Archangel, about the appearance of which was written in the manuscripts of the fifteenth century. The church was built in memory of the defenders of the independence of Montenegro.
It is very noteworthy that according to Turkish laws, no construction in the city had the right to be higher than the minaret of the mosque. Therefore, in order to circumvent this law and build the church of St. Nicholas more spacious, its builders resorted to tricks and began to build a building in the depths of the earth. It is also noteworthy that at different times in the walls of this church were alternately, the Orthodox Temple, the mosque, and then even the museum.
At the beginning of the fourteenth century, the Ali Pasha mosque dedicated to the Admiral who won the city was built in Ultsin, and therefore named in his honor. It is located near the walls of the old city. This mosque is interesting because its walls have an inscription indicating that it is built for happiness and prosperity of the people. In general, this is the only place in the country where Hamam has.
Also, the hourly tower and market mosque, built during the Ottoman Empire, are also of great interest in Ultsin. The clock tower received its name through the presence of an Italian mechanism, specially brought and installed on it to remind citizens about the time of prayer and the beginning of the working day. Since the tower is a symbol of the Ottoman Empire, it still personifies the Turkish culture in the city.
Nevertheless, the biggest in Ultsin is considered to be a mosque of Breguth - her building dates back to the end of the fourteenth century. Her appearance is associated with the name of Captain Ahmet Julie.
Also in the region of the Old Town you can see the ruins of the Church of the Virgin, although they are not at a very well-place place, perhaps. It was here that in different periods were - the church of St. Marco, then St. John Ulsinsky, but for some reason they were all destroyed.
