Kynddyg settlement in Abkhazia received great fame due to its thermal sources and a beautiful eucalyptus grove. However, even though this village is very famous, we should not expect something interesting, because it suffered a lot during the war and only little by little starts to recover.
The source itself is slightly away from the village of Kynddig. You can rent accommodation in private houses that offer resting more and kitchens where you can cook. It is also worth paying attention to the fact that accommodation in private homes will cost you cheaper than in the boarding house, and the convenience of private owners is much better.
In the area of the village there is two complexes with thermal sources at once. One of them overlooks the road that leads to Georgia, and from the second beautiful view of Sukhum. In previous years, the cost of rest on both sources was 150 rubles per person. However, most of all the village still became famous for hot fluxes, beating directly from the ground. This source is somewhere in the mountain, well, the water from there is descending the grooves.
All vacationers bathe down at thenime and even rub their bodies with mud. It is said that the midge of combination with water gives a double healing effect, which helps even with female gynecological diseases. Also, various skin diseases are prettier. The temperature of the water in the sources is incredibly comfortable, there is also a cafe on site, where kebabs are incredibly tasty.
The source called "Kynddyk Resort" is incredibly popular in particular in the midst of the season, so tourists, as soon as come there, immediately try to take a seat under the jets. In order to change clothes, there are booths for dressing up, slightly rusted, but still you can use them in the destination.
A pebble beach in Kynddig is located along the coast throughout the village. However, a significant part of it occupies a boarding house called "Eucalyptus Grove" and this part is fenced. Everyone who does not rest in this guesthouse has to be posted on the rest of the beach.
Suns with sun beds are missing here, but they are available on the territory of the boarding house. Locals everyone recommended to start their day from the beach, and only then go to the "Eucalyptus Grove" in order to continue improvement procedures. Next to the beach there is a cafe "Beach", in which you can well refresh.
When you visit the eucalyptus grove, be sure to narrow the leaves of the eucalyptus, which perfectly help in the treatment of colds. Many tourists even try to dry them and take home. If it does not work out to narrow the leaves of the eucalyptus, then you can buy them from local residents who do it specifically for tourists.
Also in the eastern direction from the village there are ruins of the fortress of San Tommazo. From its walls a beautiful view of the Black Sea coast opens. San Tommazo Fortress, built in the thirteenth century by the Genoese, is essentially the only ancient constructions in the territory of Abkhazia before our time. Here then there was a trading settlement, as well as the port that was organized by the Italians.
