The Georgian Ski Resort of Bakuriani is a very cozy village, which is located high in the Caucasian Mountains. From the Georgian language, its name is translated as a "calm and comfortable mountain", which is generally explained by the location of this village. The population living in it is not so large in numbers and does not exceed 2500 people. The village of Bakuriani is part of the Borjom municipality, which is located in the center of Georgia.
The resort itself is located in the northern part of the Trial Mountain Ridge high in the mountains at a height of about 1700 m from the sea level. There is a continental climate in the village, that is, winter is very soft, snowy and sunny. In winter, the air temperature does not fall more than 6-7 degrees below zero. Kohta-1 is an edible two-stage track with a total length of 1.5 kilometers. At the beginning of the descent, the first 400 meters are pretty complex, with a steep decline and the angle of inclination here reaches about 52 degrees. Well, "Kochta-2" is a two-step highway, the total length of which is approximately 3 kilometers. There are strokes with steep areas. For beginner skiers at the resort, the Plateau track was specifically laid, the length of which is only 300 meters. It is a common comfortable route with an inclination angle not exceeding 12 degrees.
Bakuriani's ski resort is fully equipped with mountain lifts, and among them there are a chair double, the rope cable car and the Tatra cable car, as well as four children's cableways. They did not forget in the Bakurian resort and about fans of sunny sports, for them there are three springboard with different heights. Well, for fans of cross-country skis, a track was laid here, having a length of 13 kilometers and following which you can come to the well-known Tskhratkaro pass, and the rise here will exceed as many as two and a half kilometers.
The fact that the resort is located at the intersection of geographic areas, makes the nature of Bakuriani village extremely diverse and attractive for tourists. There are mountains, and gorge, and coniferous with deciduous forests, as well as lakes and springs. Fans of foot walks can rise to Mount Kokta with a height of over 2 kilometers, then to the mountain of the seventeent, to make a trip to the lake Tabazkuri, as well as to visit the old (eleventh century) Tymotelsubani Monastery and still inspect many interesting natural attractions.

Also on the territory of Bakuriani there is a picturesque botanical garden belonging to the department of the Georgian Academy of Sciences.
