This attraction of Kandolim is necessary to visit, since the views of the maritime expanses, opening from the walls of this fort, are the main reason for which tourists are actually coming here. In comparison with other similar structures, this Portuguese fort, perhaps, preserved the best on all Goyan coast. This fortress was built back in 1618 from the Red Stone. The Portuguese used it as the outpost from the possible enemy invasions of the Dutch, of course from the sea.

Special attention in the territory of the Fort is to turn to the old Portuguese lighthouse, which is located there. Another landmark of Kandolim is a huge ship "River Princess" near the shore. For a long time, he was moored near the central beach of Kandolim.
