Saratov is a pretty major city, which is located on the shore of the Great River Volga. It should be noted that the locals are often called with the pride of their city "the capital of the Volga region", but in order to understand what the Saratov, in essence, they deserve such a name, must certainly visit it. The city is approximately halfway between Kazan and Samara and is a great place for vacation. In addition, Saratov is considered to be quite significant industrial and naturally cultural center and is included in the Top-10 according to the Forbes magazine of Russian cities in terms of investment attractiveness. The city was founded in 1590 in the place where the Orda fortress was located and naturally has a rich history.
One of the most famous sights of the city is the Trinity Cathedral, which was built by the whole world almost almost 6 years, and then two times almost demolished at all. For his history, the temple survived several fires, then the uprising of Pugacheva, and in the eighteenth century he was saved from collapse. After the revolution, the cathedral was naturally closed for several years, but in 1942 whales were renewed in his walls. Today, the church, which was erected in 1695, is a magnificent monument of architectural Russian baroque and is now in excellent condition.
Naturally, Saratovtsians are sacred by the memory of all the characters who fell during the Great Patriotic War, and in their honor in the Falcon Mountain in 1982, a very unusual and very majestic memorial was opened. The most important place of this memorial is the monument to "cranes", which was installed on a specially saturated Stometer hill. Three towering winding reinforced concrete pylons as it were like a caravine wedge. According to the plan of the creator of the monument, soaring birds must symbolize the souls of the soldiers who gave life for their homeland. Therefore, it is no coincidence that the poet Rasul Gamzatov, who wrote his immortal song "Cranes", said that this is exactly what he was in principle and imagined how it would be possible to create it in a sculptural embodiment.
Also one of the most interesting architectural attractions of the city is considered the building of the Saratov Conservatory, which is actually one of the oldest in the country. In addition, it is placed in a very colorful building, erected in 1902. With this mansion, several most interesting stories are connected. First of all, the building was built in modern style, it was necessary to even rebuild, so that it does not disturb the architectural style of the composition of the street. Thus, at the house, which is located between the two chirks, there were unexpectedly gothic Erkers towers, and even with sharp spiers, and its external facade was then decorated the sculptures of singing chimer. At the time of the war, part of the architectural compositions was removed, but after restoration in 1975, the interior of the building acquired its original appearance.
With the full right of one of the business cards, the bridge is considered through a Volga, which connects Saratov with a young city Engels. It was opened back in July 1965 and at that time did not have any analogues on the territory of all of Europe in its length of the canvas. During the creation of a unique structure, which consists of 37 spans, and different lengths, several innovative developments were applied immediately for that period of engineering solutions. And despite the fact that the bridge is pretty long and grandiose, it looks nevertheless very elegant.
Another pretty interesting landmark, which also claims to be the title of a business card of the city, appeared in Saratov relatively recently - this is the Volga Heart Fountain. The uniqueness of its design is essentially the fact that all its pumps are installed on the pontoon, which drifts near the coast. Thus, a high fountain, rising 40 meters up using water jets of 12 nozzles, creates a composition, very reminiscent of the blossomed lily flower. Well, in the evening, when multi-colored backlight turns on, the fountain looks at all the most enchanting manner.
Even in Saratov, you need to visit an amazing in its architectural solution and the delightful tent church "My Peace", which was built in the pseudorous style and consecrated in 1906. She almost immediately became one of the main urban attractions. The external facade of this temple amazes with its elegant decor, carved eaves and elegant kokoshniki. And its main dome is surrounded by a variety of drums, topped with multi-colored painted lows with crosses. So there is nothing surprising in that even the Bolsheviks at one time did not rise a hand to destroy this architectural miracle. However, until 1965, there was a city planetarium in this building, and only then the temple was returned to believers.
Since the Tatars lived in the Saratov province, then from the first half of the nineteenth century in the city, first wooden, and then a stone mosque. Up until 1930, worship was held in the mosque, and then she was closed by the decision of the Bolsheviks. Then the building was partially destroyed, and partly used for economic needs and only in 1989 it was returned to believers. But unfortunately, it was not possible to restore the mosque, she had to demolish it and only in 2005, a new temple with a green dome was built on this place from two-color brick. At the moment, a four-tier minaret rises next to the mosque, which is crowned with a golden crescent.
The city of Saratov almost throughout its history was a significant shopping center, besides with the developed processing industry. In the middle of the XIX century, the Schmidt brothers were especially famous here, who managed to create advanced milling enterprises in addition to the very latter technique. Moreover, the buildings they have built to accommodate a large and small mills, also differed and very elegant architecture. To this day, unfortunately, only one building has been preserved - a building with turrets, with carved frontones, with gear parapets, with curly cast-iron lattices and even with intricate fluges, which is considered to be the architectural pearl of Saratov.
After the film was released on the screens, "it was in Penkov", he instantly became a hit, and later entered the Golden Fund of Russian Cinema. Well, the song about the golden lights on the streets of Saratov instantly began to rest the whole country, and thus the city became famous. Only in 2009, a monument was established on the Kirov Avenue, which is the antipode of the hero of this immortal hat - the sculpture of "unmarried." Near the lantern with a clock is a bronze figure of a guy holding a bouquet in his hands, which clearly suits his beloved. Well, of course, the girls under hand with a bronze cavalier are just adored near this sculptural composition.
