Mazuria is essentially a unique and surprisingly beautiful Polish lake edge. It is located in the northeastern part of Poland and borders in the north with the Kaliningrad region of Russia, in the south with the Pries of Punching, and in the East, like Suwalki. By water from this paradise place, you can practically get anywhere in the country.

From the chronicles you can find out that the very first information about the edge of large Mazur lakes and navigating them was noted back in 1379. It was just at the time when the Master of the Teutonic Knighting Order made his boat trip to the city of Malbork through all these lakes. Well, in the city in the ancient chronicles of Elblag, an entry was found that even in the fifteenth century, ships were built here in this place. And at the end of the second half of the XVIII century, by order of Frederick II, the channels were built here, which then joined the lakes starting with the city of Veggorev and up to the Pisa River. The very name of the Mazury appeared only in the XIX century, and at the same time it can be said that large Mazursa lakes are the most important part of this complex.

Mazura, of course, is the largest system of lakes in Poland - here 45 reservoirs are connected with eight rivers and twelve channels. This edge is also called green light Poland, since it is one of the few places in Europe, representing exceptional value due to landscapes and pure nature. There are a lot of forests and two more forests - in the south writing, and already in the eastern part of the wrestler. The complex of the Mazur Lakes includes the two largest country lakes.

The first lake is called removal, the area of ​​which occupies 114 square kilometers and there are eight islands on the lake, and the second lake is called Mamra - it has an area of ​​104 square kilometers and there are 33 islands on it. It is also noteworthy that Lake is remnulated very many people also call the Mazury Sea, since it is almost impossible to distinguish the opposite to distinguish between one of its shore. On the shore of this natural reservoir is located the largest center of sailing. Also here is a research and developmental station, where small Polish horses are grown not higher than 140 centimeters, as well as deer and beavers.

The edge of the Mazury lakes is considered to be a real paradise for fans of sailing, rowing and canoe, and just for all recreation fans in nature. There are the most famous and popular tourism centers in the country. Geographically, they are located in the cities of Newer, Mikolayki and Gizycko. On the lakes there are bays and marina with hotels, the infrastructure is well developed here, there are recreation centers and sports equipment stores. Also, very good conditions have been created here and for such a little yet known directions as agrotourism.

Also here you can see numerous churches and castles that were built by Teutonic knights in a popular then gothic style. Olsztyn is considered the largest city in the region, and the most valuable historical monument is considered to be a Teutonic castle, built in the fourteenth century. To date, it is the Masuria Museum, which tells about Nikolae Copernicus, who worked and worked sometime in this city. Also, another famous landmark of the Mazury region are the high gate, in fact, which are a fragment of the ancient urban fortification facilities of the fourteenth century. You can also explore the Gothic Cathedral and the Old City Town Hall in the Baroque style.

In essence, Mazur lakes constantly attract many tourists to themselves, and for them there are a lot of campgrounds on the shores, but in general they represent only the platforms for tents. So this area of ​​tourism in Poland still should be developed for a long time. Some campgrounds are very well equipped - there are sandy beaches and floral alleys, which is very similar even to what is being done in other European countries. But such campgrounds are considered already four-star. Such an institution, if you wish, you can find on the shore of a small lake Teltta. Also, it is certainly worth seeing a large flock of swans, who live on Lake Lucino, and the number of them reaches at least thousand individuals, so this place since 1977 is protected by UNESCO.
