In the entire long history, Cape had many titles, but Parthenium is considered the most ancient of them.
Also, according to legends in those long-standing times, a temple dedicated to the Greek goddess Artemide was located. Another interesting name is also preserved - a tiger cape, since the cliffs consist of peculiar lanes of the dark tracheite in the afternoon with yellow limestone, which from afar really resemble the color of the tigrine skins. That name that Cape is now is, appeared on geographic maps only at the beginning of the XIX century. And before that, he was called just Cape of St. George named by the nearby nearby Monastery.
Cape Fiolent is located in the southwestern part of the Crimean Peninsula near the city of Sevastopol, and even more accurately, then in Balaklava district.
