It is amazing, but even the capital, so to say the Swiss franc, is the most ordinary city, and tourists may well find budget and sometimes even free entertainment. So it is quite likely to get around this city in one day and at the same time to visit the main number of its iconic attractions.
At the same time, preference is worth paying all the same walk along Zurich, so you can immediately understand how cozy and not a boring city, and in any weather. Most likely you will arrive at Zurich's main railway station, which is located right in the historic center of the city. And he is called Altstadt. Immediately look around and try for yourself to form the very first and unbiased impression from the old town of Zurich. Probably, you first rush into the abundance of watch towers, flugers and the domination of trams.
In fact, you immediately fall into the street having a completely banal name - Bahnhofstrasse (translated into Russian vocational language). It starts from the monument to Alfred Eshera and if you go through it to the end, you can go to the lake. The total length of all this street does not exceed one and a half kilometers, while its main part is available only to pedestrians and trams. Moreover, it is worth considering that Banhefstrasse is not only the focus of the tourist life of the city, but also the most expensive shopping street of Switzerland.
If you will drive to Kuttelgasse and go through a couple of quarters towards the nearest river, then you will get to Square Lindenhof, which means the "Linder". For the ancient Romans, this platform on the hill was very convenient from the point of view of defense, but for the current tourists it is convenient because it offers an amazing view of the old town and on the river.
