About Prague, Sport and Food 32233_1

In connection with the upcoming in January 2020, Camp in Prague, we decided to ask how the Russian engineer lives in the capital of the Czech Republic. Let's start.

Sportspirit. : Hi Sasha, we know that you have been living in Prague for several years and you are not going to move to another country. What did this city like you? What are the main advantages you can allocate?

Sasha : Hi Olya, Prague very much like both the city and development, infrastructure, transport. There are no endless traffic jams as in Moscow and St. Petersburg ... I would say, there is a focus on people, many opportunities to play sports and your hobby.

Sportspirit. : I was in Prague a few years ago, in winter. The city left pleasant memories ... What do you think make the Czech capital special in the winter time?

Sasha: the New Year's atmosphere, the feeling of the holiday, which is created by fairs, salutes and fireworks during the New Year holidays, pavilions with mulled wine and hot sausages and national sweet delicacy - by Padernik. Which is a baking from a yeast dough, winding on a spit or metal spiral. Prepared from rolled dough, which turns around the stick, baked on the grill, then sprinkled with a mixture of sugar and walnut. The word "trdelník" has Slovak or Czech origin. The accepter meets primarily in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia. In Hungary and Turkey, this baking is called "Kyurshkalch".

Sportspirit. : What are the top 3 bars and restaurants in Prague?

Sasha : From restaurants: "clouds" in the first place and all non-unrest places far from the city center - I do not like noisy companies.

Sportspirit. : What kind of dish / food is necessary to try in Prague?

Sasha : I would advise: Ribs; Goulash (meat broth), Bramborak made of saline dishes; From the sweet - the stern.

Sportspirit. : How long can you have dinner in the bar or restaurant in the capital?

Sasha : The bar is about 300 kroons, and in the restaurant there are about 500-600 kroons.

Sportspirit. : Nevertheless, we are sports people, I would like to ask you and about sports in Prague. What kind of sport, according to your observations is the most popular? Are there many people running or riding bicycles?

Sasha : Czechs love to run and hockey on the grass. By the way, they even have an annual race "Runczech", which is very popular! By the way, 6 covered beach volleyball centers! Great interest in this sport! And more, many employees of companies have Multisport Pass, which allows for free to go to all the halls.

Sportspirit. : I know that you recently traveled to St. Petersburg for a few weeks. What differences are the main differences can you allocate between two cities?

Sasha : Traffic jams, very serious building multi-storey houses in St. Petersburg (in Prague mostly 3-4 storey buildings) ... if you compare prices for food, cocktails and other entertainment, in St. Petersburg prices are much higher than in Prague!

Sportspirit. : Sasha, thanks for the interview, we wish you further success in your work and do not forget to play beach volleyball!
