Corsica is an amazing island in the Mediterranean, a wild and excellent place, which is often called the rock in the sea. The coast with harsh cliffs, wonderful beaches, the purest sea. Mount Corsica is a real paradise for lovers of untouched nature and hiking. Behind the coastal facade, lively ports of Ajaccio, Bastia and Bonifacio, a real Corsica is hidden. Everything is still here, shepherds drove herd to mountain pastures each year, religious holidays are celebrated with medieval passion and old traditional songs.

We have chosen the most romantic way to get to the island, we brought us a ferry, adjacent to the port of Bastia. View of Corsica from the sea forced to immediately grab the camera, which I did not let out of the hands throughout the journey

We were met by the charming aroma of herbs and shrubs "Maki".

We started my acquaintance with the island from Bastia, the majestic Genoese citadel of the 16th century, towers over the noisy port. The life of the city revolves around Saint-Nicolas Square, by the way, there is also a turbo. We did not go there, as I got stuck in advance and did not want to lose time.

In one of the numerous cafes at the Church of John the Baptist (17th century), we drank the cup of coffee and went to walk along the labyrinth of the Italian streets of the Old Town.

We stayed at Corsica five days. During this time, they managed to see everything they planned.

The Valley of Nebio and Monte Grosso.

Gorgeous yachts in the harbor of San Florent. Rocky red shore Il-Russ. Calvi, hidden on the Cape and towering the church in the style of Baroque. We drove along the picturesque road to the depths of the island, to admire the views of the sea, opening from the villages of Beloder and Muro. Roodled on a boat and looked from the sea on the red cliffs of Kalanka, which protrude from the waves.

Of course, we visited the homeland of Napoleon - Ajaccio.

The town is surrounded by mountains from all sides, which creates the most comfortable and mild climate on Corsica. Fountains, palm trees, white plastered houses, Napoleon Bonaparte and evidence of this everywhere was born here.

Bonaparte house where you can watch family portraits and personal memorable things of the Napoleon family. The Palace of Fesh, built by Uncle Napoleon, is now a large collection of Italian works of art, the trophies of the Italian company commander. Nearby is the imperial chapel, built by Napoleon III - the Mausoleum of the Bonaparte Family.

Raised to a fortress dam, it offers an amazing view of the city and the bay. We visited philodose, touched 3000-year-old mengiram-statues in the form of warriors, saw primitive settlements. In the southernmost point of Corsica - Bonifacio port, the city stands on limestone cliffs. Numerous caves were blocked in white rocks.

Porto-Vecchio.

Here we were waiting for the most picturesque and safe beaches. Coast Cot-de-Nip. This shore is called the "shore, which generated the pearl." Swimming in large bays, clean, warm sea. The next day we were devoted to the campaign on one of the numerous trail. We chose a simple and not very long route, I just wanted to just once enjoy the aroma of the dispersion and see the thickets of Juniper, Wild Olive, Thyme, Lavender.
