How I fell in love with Tunisia

Frankly, planning rest in Tunisia, I have not experienced special illusions and was skeptical. But, to my great surprise, Tunisia fascinated and unconditionally fell in love with himself.

So let's start in order. We flew to Tunisia to the Sousse resort of a large company with children and chose a 4 * network hotel for their holiday, which had a private sandy beach, a huge green area, a water park and offered to its guests a lot of entertainment, as well as the "All Included". I will say right away that we really liked the hotel. Yes, the food was slightly simpler than, for example, in the Turkish hotels of the same category, but otherwise everything was at the highest level.

At the resort, I was first of all struck the security system. In all hotels and throughout the tourist area there are police posts and metal detector frames. Therefore, we were not worried and even late in the evening they felt comfortable outside the hotel. Sousse himself is a resort town in which there are shopping centers, cafes, restaurants and bars. Despite the fact that we lived on "all inclusive", a couple of times we got into an Italian ice cream cafe, where we were pleasantly hit by the feeding of dishes, prices and service. We also rented a local minibus and went to the neighboring Port El Cantau just take a walk. This resort is more civic, but it is also more busy and noisy. There is a lunapark, a port, a central square with singing fountains. And, of course, the huge number of institutions where you can dine for adequate money in a pleasant atmosphere.

Tunisia is famous for its inexpensive leather products. And I hoped to buy something from the skin there. But, bypassing the mass of the stores, I came to disappointment. Prices, indeed, very low, but models and colors leave to desire the best. As a result, I bought only one wallet that I liked. Most models and wallet and brick-red bags, and also with the image of palm trees and camels. We also bought there spices, olive and organ oil of excellent quality at low prices.

Most of all on this trip, our family remained delighted with a two-day excursion to Sakhara. It was unforgettable! During these two days, we saw the Colosseum in the city of Jam, lunch in the cave with Berbers (locals) with eggs with an egg, enjoyed the sunset in the desert on the camels, drove on the jeeps on the velchanam by the decorations for the film "Star Wars" and met dawn in the Salty Lake. The cost of the excursion was $ 105 per adult and $ 85 per child. This price included everything except drinks that were not very expensive in sugar. So, for example, a bottle of water cost us 20 rubles, and a bottle of beer or soda is 30 rubles.

Finally, I want to add that our locals were pleasantly surprised. At the resorts and in the hotel, we never faced someone whom we whistled, led by hands, brazenly offered my goods, etc. This is a very civilian nation, the legislation of which is completely copied in France. In Tunisia, even polygamy is prohibited, despite the fact that it is a Muslim country.
