Any inquisitive tourist who flies to Thailand not only to wear on the beach, trying to visit the province of Kanchanaburi to look at local waterfalls, take a walk in local national parks and most importantly, to see the famous thanks to David Lina, the so-called movie " The bridge of death ", what perplexed through the rivers Kwai and connects Thailand with Myanmar. But not only the impressions are fed by a person, sometimes it is necessary to eat, something landed :) about where and what can be eaten in Kanchanaburi, now let's talk.

Looking for an exclusive kitchen in Kanchanaburi there is no point. Almost all the same is prepared here as in other cities of Thailand with small differences based on the ski of local chefs. The main part of the city restaurants is located, as it should be on the places of mass pilgrimage of tourists, that is, on the Quay River embankment and in the city center. And as usual in Thailand, restaurants here on any wallet, from high-class and expensive (truth, if you compare with Russian realities, there are no expensive restaurants in Thailand in Thailand), to the budget, where they are tasty, but for the sulking pennies. What would have been an understanding at prices, then the average alignment is:
- Dear restaurants. Dinner for two will cost 1500 to 2000 baht (BAT is approximately equal to the ruble, so that can be considered in rubles). At the same time it will be really luxurious dinner, and the dishes are huge.
- Medium-level restaurants. Salads from 70 to 150 baht, meat or fish dishes from 150 to 400 baht, it's with a side dish and again huge portions. Dinner for two will cost 700-800 baht.
- Budget cafes. Here dinner will be released in 200-300 baht for two.
Tips are accepted, and recommendations are typical, that is, 10 percent of the order value, but I personally always left 50 baht, because it is really prepared very tasty. Restaurant from the category "expensive", but it is a kitchen and entourage, it is worth it. In the main menu, traditional Thai dishes + a little exotic from local chefs. In particular, I advise you to try a red-knife cat in Carry sauce, a salad of glass shrimp, fried fish, and much more.

Restaurant from the category of medium, but with very good complaints on the road. The traditional cuisine of Thailand and European cuisine are offered. The latter mainly consists of meat dishes (bifhtex, grilled meat, etc.). Very cozy atmosphere and pleasant public restaurant.
- River Kwae. Floating restaurant moored 100 meters from the bridge.
Excellent assortment of seafood and fish dishes. It is famous for dishes prepared in various form fish, which is caught in the river, on which the restaurant swims. Variations of cooking this fish are many, all do not describe. Prices are very reasonable. The minus is just that HT is constantly a lot of people.

You can buy any food outside the restaurants and even need it, it looks beautiful and very tasty, and everything else is not expensive. For example, crabs are approximately 400-500 baht per kilogram, seashells from 100 baht per kilogram, shrimp 10 pieces can be bought for 100 baht, kebab on a skewer - 10 baht. Delicious fresh oysters for just 25-60 baht, but here it is necessary to watch it carefully, whatever they are closed. If it comes across open, then it is one hundred percent that corrupted. Prices for drinks are more like Russian. Tea or coffee, from 20 to 60 baht, depending on the variety. Singh beer in Tare 0.33, an average of 35 baht. Wine and strong drinks, practically did not buy. So I will not tell you.
