Rest at Rhodes: Mediterranean Rose

Anonim

This time, choosing the seaside resort, decided to visit some island. The choice was influenced by such moments as the climate, the infrastructure of the resort, quality of service and, naturally, the price range. As a result, the Greek Island of Rhodes was chosen, and its southern part with Mediterranean sandy beaches.

The fact is that the island can be divided into 2 regions: North and South. North shore is washed by the waters of the Aegean Sea. Beaches there are pebble, which delivers certain inconvenience when resting with a child, but very attractive for lovers of outdoor activities, especially surfers, waves and sea winds. The south of the island, on the contrary, attracts older people and family couples: in August there is quite calm, sandy beaches with a smooth entrance to the water, and hotels are located at a considerable distance from each other.

It must be said that hotels on the island have a fairly high star status, mostly 4 - 5 stars, but, when choosing them, you need to pay attention to the time of renovation.

So, 3 hours of summer + border control and transfer - and we at the hotel. The terrace of the restaurant offers a chic sea view.

It should be noted that Rhodes, unlike many other Greek islands, is distinguished by an abundance and variety of vegetation. In addition to olive groves and garden plantings, coniferous trees can be found, for example, Lebanese cedar. The merit is attributed to Mussolini - during the bid, he visited the island and ordered to diversify his green cover.

Each hotel has a bar and several restaurants entering the beach. Regarding nutrition, I want to note that in 2014 the service "All Inclusive" was popular, and, taking into account the quality of food and beverages in restaurant hotels, there was no competition around them as such, which, having tasted the hotel kitchen, I personally didn't surprise it: for lunch And dinner was given a choice from at least 10 dishes and a huge variety of salads. It was also possible to pamper themselves three varieties of local wine (in quality and a bouquet of significantly superior to Turkish analogs) and a very good beer.

Once again, I repeat that the Mediterranean island is attractive to lovers of relaxing rest and sandy beaches. The sea is very clean, water is warm and calm. But the water attractions familiar to us like Aquabays, bananas and parachutes are far from everywhere. But the town of Faliraki was not far away from our hotel, where it was possible to walk or reach in 7 minutes by flight bus, where all these entertainment was plentiously plus to this, Faliraki is famous for their discos, and life in it falsily only in the damp night. Also in the area there is a huge water park, where you can spend the whole day with my family.

Along the coast of the entire region, excursion mini trains run,

which can be reached by another pearl - Califa Bay. Its name is translated from Greek as a "good view." The view is really great: the bay has a natural origin (once it was washed in the rocks of the jet of waterfall),

The water in it is cool and clean, and on the shores there is a lot of cafes where you can drink coffee or refreshing with cold beer and wine under a slight snack. Over the covers heard the sounds of relaxing music, leading to the memories of Relax.fm

On the shore of the bay, you can relax in the ancient gazebo, the floor of which is decorated with mosaic,

I recommend to take a sightseeing tour of the excursion to the capital of the Island - the city of Rhodes. Its architecture combines 4 era: an antique (the city was founded by the ancient Greeks and it was here that the famous Colossus Rhodes), the medieval European (on the island was founded by the Order of St. John, and the gorgeous castle was built by knights

After a long siege, the knights were forced to move to Malta, where the Maltese Order was founded, and the island was captured by the Turks, which was also reflected in the architecture of his capital

In the time of World War I, the island was captured by the Italian army, and the streets of the capital, after the expulsion of the Turks, again began to acquire European

The cost of a sightseeing excursion also includes visiting the Maritime Museum. It is not as huge as an oceanarium in Barcelona, but, nevertheless, contains enough interesting exhibits

Not far from the museum is the beach from which you can observe how the water of the Aegean and Mediterranean seas merge

In general, we were satisfied with rest on the island. The excursion guide advised to visit Rhodes to the velvet season - the end of October - the beginning of November, when tourists are significantly less, the weather is still warm, the wind season and rains have not yet come, and their holiday prices are significantly different from summer. What I advise you.
