It was my third trip to Tunisia after a 7-year break. Many consider Tunisia "one-time country", but I disagree with it.
This time, as in the past, I rested in Hammamete - one of the most popular resorts of the country.
Beach.
For me personally, Tunisia is primarily a beach vacation with good animation, so the beach quality is very important. I lived in the northern part of the city (in the same place, where in the previous time), and I can say with confidence: there are great, beautiful beaches! I have something to compare with. Pure sand, a gentle entrance, not too deep, but also to reach the depths quite real. Those. Suitable for recreation with children, and for lovers to pull and dive.
For comparison: I happened to visit the central part of Hammamet, the beach there is much worse: a lot of algae and stones in the sand.
On the beach can be entertained by flying on a parachute or ride a boat.
Animation
As for the animation, everything is fine too. And in my hotel, and in the neighborings there was always noisy and fun in the day and evening. Dancing, sports, discos and shows on the territory of hotels and on the beach are constantly. Animators just great! They know how to light and adults, raise with chaise lounges, and children do not let you be bored.
Entertainment
Hammamet is also good and the fact that there is where to go outside the hotel, and it is completely safe. For example, where I rested, there is a great bowling club, where you can play bowling (though, the free path you still need to have time to occupy, there are always crowded in the season), in billiards (here it is usually free), or just talk for a glass of what -Theless. Yes, alcohol here is also there.
There are also many shops and cafes. Our compatriots in Hammamet rest quite a lot, so that staff cafes and shops are more or less able to speak Russian. In stores with Tunisian cosmetics, I twice saw how sellers advised our tourist in the properties of their products.
Excursions
If you do not want to spend all vacation on the beach, you can entertain yourself a trip on a tour. Tour operators offer a lot of things. The most popular is a two-day trip to Sakhara. For lovers of national flavor and bright photos.
There are just entertaining, for example, a walk on a ship with a pirated show, or an evening laser show with a representation on historical theme. Of course, ordinary overview by cities.
Local residents
In conclusion about local residents. Of course, when you walk down the street in European summer clothes, you will constantly hear the Comments "Botifuil" and everything in such a spirit :) But they don't allow anything superfluous, if you do not give a reason. I repeat: it's quite safe. The main thing is to understand that this is a Muslim country, even if not as strict as, for example, the UAE, and then there will be no problems.
