Kingisepp is a relatively small town located in the Leningrad Region, founded in an essence in the fourteenth century, when the fortress was located at this place. The ancient Catherine Cathedral in Kingisepp was built by decree of Empress Catherine II in 1782 on the site of a previously burnt wooden temple.
