Ravenna is located near Bologna, just an hour by car, Emilia-Romagna Region. This city, like other cities of Italy, is very interesting to their architecture and history. Cathedrals and houses are decorated with frescoes, there are many historical buildings.
Also next to equal, approximately 20-30 minutes, there is the Adriatic coast. My holiday fell at the end of May in the small town of Marina Romea. This calm place is perfect for a secluded, peaceful rest. Also, here you can improve health. Fresh sea air as it is impossible to be better complemented by a pine forest, which is located right at the shore.
Hotels and holiday homes are just a few minutes walk from the sea. Settlement from the coast separates the main road. To be at sea, just enough to go, then go through the forest - and you are on the coast. Pine forest is called Italian "Pineta". These are century old trees, high ate, pines. Healing air is particularly saturated during rainy weather. Along the forest, paths are laid, in some places, convenient shops are provided for tired travelers. All the big roads through the pynet lead to the beach. Everyone has a specific name. And on every beach there is a cozy cafe, and in the summer, equipped area for beach holidays: umbrellas, lounge chairs, playgrounds and complexes for children.
My friends and I went mostly all the time in a cafe on the beaches of Nettuno, Azzurro and others. Ordered a cup of coffee with Italian sweets and then walked along the coast. Beach wide and smooth, sand everywhere.
We had a kitchen and dishes in the room, so the main dishes prepared themselves. Sometimes there were dinners in the pizzeria or in a cafe on the beach, went to the nearest bars along the main road. At lunch, I really liked to go on a pine forest jog and then walk along the shore. Such a charge of energy! So, if you like the beautiful sea, beautiful pine forest and privacy - then you are in Marina Romea. And for cultural leisure you can go to Bologna, Ravenna and other cities of Emilia-Romagna. It is also worth considering that at the end of May the Adriatic Sea is not yet suitable for swimming, often rain and wind. But in June-July and August, you can also swim.
