One of the items in our family holiday in the summer of 2019 was also the city of Essentuki. In the Caucasus, I wanted a long time ago, but did not know, in which city it is to stop for living. Searching options on housing booking sites, stopped at Essentuki. Accommodation there inexpensive, chose the house close to the resort park and booked for 5 days. Domok, of course, there is a very old building. But we got housing very well-kept and neat. Everything is clean, without frills - but for family holidays with children. A double huge bed and a folding sofa - all the place was enough, were satisfied. At the first evening, the arrival went to walk around the city. The lack of normal pedestrian walkways rushed immediately. The asphalt was already outlived on them, the son was with a beggar - so it was simply impossible to ride - a pit on the pit. The sediment is left, just say unpleasant. And in general, the streets are some kind of dirty, the garbage is here, then there, there are no particularly and decorations of the city of the resort, no colors, no shrubs of the beautiful inherent in the Caucasus.
The park is interesting, but again abandoned everywhere! Grots, previously workers, are now overgrown with grass. No tracks for a walk, nor shops, painted graffiti columns arbors upset us very, very, even the photo is beautiful will not do!
As it was possible to run such a huge and most beautiful park, where our moms, dads, grandparents rested, grandparents. There are two working gallery with mineral water. And before them were much more !! You can drink water in the allotted time as much as possible. Yes, and the water is delicious, useful is the undoubted plus of Essentukov. But stroll through the park after receiving the driver does not particularly impress (in contrast, for example, from Kislovodsk - where everything is essential, beautiful and for people is done).
Many cafes in the city, but choose - not all clean, not everywhere good service. And in one dumplorn just horror mud we found. Therefore, they walked home - they are scary with children to eat unknown where. But shops are at hand, please, you can buy everything you need and prepare yourself.
In general, we liked the atmosphere of the city, children even for abandoned tracks and grottoes were interested in walking, as if in Athens visited - antiquity is so mysterious. But I would very much like to pay attention to such a beautiful resort, the non-working mineral water galleries restored the impassable lawns in the parks, they would have made tracks for walking - as before, in Soviet times. And the prices would not have been essentuk, the people would reach there!
